Roddy Whites response to Trent Dilfer by Tweet (1 Viewer)

Well I didnt realize the number of times you were eliminated from the playoffs was a sign of success. The Panthers must feel right proud as well. :coffee:Do us a favor Carolina and dont suck in week 16. Maybe Atlanta can lose 2 back to back eh?
The Panthers have been in existence since 1995, and have been to the playoffs 4 times including one SB which we lost. The Saints have been existence since 1967, and have been to the playoffs 7 times including one SB you won. You have almost 30 years on us, but only 3 more trips to the playoffs. Are you proud of that? Why do you care how we play in week 16? You are the one playing Atlanta that week. Hopefully we will suck in week 16 and 17. That will give us a better chance at the first round pick in the draft.
One thing that you learn when your team does take the next step is that none of the other stuff matters.
One day I want to be like you.

I am Confident! I root for a Superbowl team that is defending its Championship title with a 10-4 record thus far. I thought Champions tanked the following season? And Mr. Rick James needs to ad that to his post because he has not seen many 10-4 teams after winning a superbowl. Maybe its because you dont want to hear my confidence as a fan that you liken me as arrogant but never the less, this thread is about someone more arrogant than I. Mr. Roddy White and if you dont like Saints fan chest beating I suggest we not take the thread in that direction and get back on topic.
I also root for the Patriots. Should we go there :lmao: And as someone already pointed out.....you are a loss this week and a loss next week to TB away from missing the playoffs. 10-4 doesn't have it locked up.
Patriots get my respect for sure except for the whole spy gate thing. But aside from that they are what the Saints model themselves after.
Judging from this thread, Saints fans are modeling themselves after Patriot fans.

Did you watch the game? Saints gift wrapped it for the Falcons. The Saints are going to run just fine this game. Bump me if I'm wrong but I expect a heaping Dose of all 3 backs this game. Ivory, PT and Bush. The Saints are not going to lose two in a row. They were a lock before Roddy ever opened his big mouth.
Shoulda woulda coulda.....And I'm sure the Falcons are shakin' in their booties with the images of Ivory, PT, and Bush running through their heads. :goodposting:
The Falcons won game 1 on a 29 yard shank after the Saints lost Reggie Bush and trotted out Ivory for his first game. The running game will be better this go round.
Shouldn't have even gone to OT, and the Falcons were leading the whole game. Falcons also gave you a muffed punt (what are the odds it was going to hit the back foot).Since the Falcons can lock up the #1 seed next week against Carolina I don't see them going all out to win and will play a bit loose this game.

I am excited for a good NFC rivalry. Roddy is the man. He and his team have walked the walk and Atlanta has a huge homefield advantage. His initial tweet was very true. This is this season. Anybody picking the Saints because they have a championship is dead wrong. This is a new year baby! It should be a fantastic game and if the Saints win, all the power to em

And Trent Dilfer is a hater. The guy had all the opportunity and was a failure. He is just defensive because he only got one title with a monster at running back and a dominate defense. He spends his time with bonafide Hall of Famers. He gotta rep the Adam Morrison's out there. A guy can watch all the tape in world. If he was any good he would still be out there winning games and actually applying that film. Peyton Manning will be playing at his age, Tom Brady will be, #### Brett favre is older than him. Total jabroni.

Matty Ice is now 19-2 at home. Still respectable but the Falcons can be beat. Some one text that to Roddy White.

Also Panthers lets go in week 17 !!!!

Saints, please get Chris Ivory healthy ASAP! Too much damn passing!

Atlanta will still get the 1 seed by beating Carolina next week, but they won't have the aura of invincibility they would have had at home had they gone 8-0. I like that. It makes the NFC look that much more wide open.

While I love my Saints, if they get the #5 seed they are responsible. Not only did Atlanta beat them at home, but the Saints lost to both the Cardinals and the Browns while the Falcons beat both teams. That is your difference right there. Unless Carolina can pull the upset next week, the Falcons earned the division title.

Hopefully, both teams can meet again in the playoffs. Both regular season games were decided by three points and I expect the playoff game will also be close.

The Saints are free and running in the NFC playoff field.

That game was won with DEFENSE, folks, take note.

The NFC Championship will be back in New Orleans, where all good things happen.

I'll own that as well. I do think the Superbowl hang over and injuries are a big reason for these inconsistencies earlier in the season for the Saints. The hangover is gone now and hopefully soon the Saints will be back to full speed on the injury front. I'll admit though the Falcons are damn good. They are capable of a Superbowl victory if things transpire the right way for them but hopefully the Saints will have a say in that in the playoffs.

doubt the Saints will have a home game in the playoffs unless you feel the # 6 team will win two which could happen if that team is Green Bay

It wouldn't surprise me a bit to see the #5 and #6 seed this year in the NFC title game. Seriously, does anybody think the Saints and the Packers can't beat any team in the conference?? The Saints are probably going to have the second best record in the conference and they are going to be a Wild Card. The Packers are dangerous. Rodgers is a beast. Good defense. Great receivers. Peaking at the right time.

Matty Ice is obviously an annoying Boston-type nickname. Surprised anyone had to ask. The kid can play, but I hate him and his stupid nickname.

8-0 isn't all it's cracked up to be anyway. The Panthers were 8-0 at home two years ago, and promptly got destroyed by the Cardinals in their first postseason game after the bye.I hate the Falcons and the Saints, but I like the fact that they were both talking before the game. I miss the days where players hated the other team, rather than hanging out in the offseason and hugging each other after an overtime loss.

Matty Ice...most sissified nickname in sports?
Not sissified ... but not really a good name, either. Who gave him that name and when? Don't remember that at BC, but maybe it's from college?
yeah it's a nickname from bc
Apparently he loved drinking Smirnoff Ice and would be seen around campus with Ice in his hands 24/7 when he wasn't knocking 'em back at Cityside or Maryanns.Matty "Smirnoff" Ice!

How is this a Boston-type nickname? He is not from MA, and it was given to him when he was younger (not at BC). ...says the guy from New Orleans, a city known for cool nicknames...?

Yes, this is exactly what I am saying.

I think the Pack could face the Saints in the Dome for the NFCC. I think GB can win their first round game (CHI or PHI) and I think they can then go to Atlanta and beat them.

Biggest problem for the Saints or anyone is getting through Philly at the Linc though.

:stirspot: maybe the d thought the game was sunday?

For a team that recently won a Super Bowl to be annoyed by a team that never has is amusing to me. I'm jealous of the Saints fans (as many others), I want to celebrate a Super Bowl win. I can't imagine afterwards I would spend time like some in this thread though. To each their own though, I hope one day I can celebrate a Championship. You guys are truely lucky.
