To me, there is a gap the size of the Grand Canyon between the four guys that already got taken and everybody else. PPR or no-PPR.

someone mentioned this at 1.4, but even more so now, getting michael floyd at 5 in ppr is like stealing
I agree with this, but any of the top 4 are good too. Nice year to be sitting at 5. 6-8 probably won't be bad either cause a couple of those backs could easily jump into the mix at the topThink if Miller goes to Cincy, Martin to Clev, and Wilson to Tampa

Liking Floyd at five and also glad to have #4 in one league, I know y'all don't care

This is where landing spot becomes a big consideration. I would lean towards Floyd, but if a player like Doug Martin went to a team like the Bengals, Packers, or Broncos, I would have to strongly consider him.

i have a hard time believing that luck and RG3 go in the first four picks of a dynasty ppr league. qbs even projected great ones don't go that early normally. RG3 maybe because of fantasy but i don't see luck going before some of the wrs and rbs available.

I keep seeing this response and I get it. But isn't it the same theory as reaching for a player before their ADP knowing that if you need/want someone you have to take them earlier then you would because they won't make it back to you?Having said that I still went with Martin and will take him and 1.06

At this point, I would say it is better than 50/50 that both QB's are gone by 1.04, in the league I am in

the point is that people keep saying that QBs don't NORMALLY go this early. This obviously isnt a "normal" yar for QBs.

I guess. but even in dynasty leagues, a serviceable qb is not hard to find so that's my thought. even in 12 team leagues the worst starting qb is going to be decent. far different at the bottom of the rb/wr lists. i.e. the gap between qb 1 and qb 12 isn't close to say rb #1 and rb #24 or 36 (flex position).also I don't see much difference between pre and post combine. pre and post NFL draft, yes that makes a lot of sense.

This is my thought as well with Martin

since i own the 1.4 i hope it goes richardson/rg3/luck. i would love to get blackmon or miller/wilson/martin (depends where they actually go) at 1.4

This year is really just the perfect storm for the QBs to go early. The impressive seasons of Rodgers, Brees, Brady and especially Newton along with the hype and college production of Luck and RG3. I think there will be very few rookie drafts where Luck falls below 3 and RG3 falls below 5.

Especially in super-flex leagues where a second QB can be flexed

So much is still wrong with fantasy football that this is still a widely held opinion/strategy. Most important position on the field relegated to squadoosh.
