Well

Gronk went down

Graham has been great most weeks but has had injuries and a poor game last night.

Witten is a PPR machine but no longer finds the end zone.

Vernon Davis is boom or bust

Gates who was supposed to be in best health in years must have turned invisible given his target numbers of late.

Owen Daniels also having injury issues.

Rudolph great potential but between concussions and Ponder seems to be an iffy play weekly.

Heath Miller without Rothlisberger has crashed down to Earth.

Hernandez has been hurt much of the year and is still not 100%

So for this week especially ad for the playoffs the following TE are intriguing to me. I wonder how you gus see them performing and if they should get consideration as TE1.

Keller- since coming back form injury 4/5 good games and more importantly is probably the number 2 target on his team in passing game so can see him being a top 8 guy.

Lewis- With henne throwing and coach saying they want him more involved he is a redzone threat at 6'6 and is a season removed from being in probowl

Cook- Great talent underused. New Offensive coordinator with a less conservative playbook may open things up leading to more opportunities.

Pitta- started the year and then was forgotten. Past 2 games has scored and should be a key target again and aftet this week has some great matchups going forward.

Bennett- the black unicorn has matchups against some of the worst defenses against TE. Andre Brown going down might mean some more redzone targets to him that might have been rushes as I don't think they want to risk Bradshaw in those circumstances

Housler- great talent who unfortunately needs to stay in and block too much given that woeful line. With teams doubling Fitz and them falling behind he becomes a passing target (11 last week)

Opinions?

Who would you want this week and ROS.

Would you start any over the usual suspects

What about adding Dallas Clark, Tampa Bay to this list. Great play this Sunday against Denver.

Keller is my #1 TE that is not overpriced in fantasy. He usually has good/great weeks and rarely will you not see him get some targets.

He won't ever have a Graham day but he also doesnt cost an arm and a leg and can be found on some waivers at this point still.

Sure one can add Clark to the mix.Figured based on his last few weeks performance he probably was on a roster but yes he has a good schedule too. My only concern is it is a team with many offensive weapons and so I am not sure he will be a ocnsistent target.Keller Lewis both guys who could be #2 to # weapon on offence as they both dont have top tier receiving backs like Doug Martin

Graham, Witten, Daniels, Hernandez - them and then everyone else. Nothing to complain about these guys.

Personally from everyone else there I like Keller and Rudolph.

Sanchez has no one else he has familiarity with to throw to and Rudolph is similar but better with Harvin out.

Housler - hm, maybe, keep an eye on him.

Davis - man does Vern scare me. Frankly you could get a zero during the playoffs, how does that make you feel?

As a Gronkowski owner, I had to look pretty deeply into the tight end situation a few weeks ago. I cleared out three roster spots and filled them with Marcedes Lewis, Brent Celek, and Dwayne Allen. Through the last few weeks it's become apparent that Celek and the entire Philly offense is in a tailspin so I dumped him. I like Dwayne Allen but he's a rookie who was seeing increased targets due to Fleener missing time. So Lewis is where I've planted my flag. He's been pretty successfull the past two weeks scoring 19 and 9 against division rivals Houston and Tennessee respectively.

I think with Shorts and Blackmon getting dinged this week, you are looking at a few more targets. I could see stat lines of 5-8 catches in the near future. Those targets against the Bills this weekend should result in some decent points. Not Gronkowski points but not bad either. If you have the benefit of the Week 14 playoff bye, you are going to avoid the Jets game and get the juicy Patriots and Dolphins matchups in the playoffs.

Henne has been a boon for him as well obviously - (KFFL)Jacksonville Jaguars TE Marcedes Lewis has seven catches for 96 yards and two touchdowns since QB Chad Henne took over the offense.

Tony Gonzalez is scoring as good or better than anyone on your list. Oversight?

Well actually I was just looking at original poster's list and he didn't have Gonz. I think he meant to include top TEs who might be looking a little shakey for one reason or another and Gonzalez is not that.I will add that Gonz has had only 2 really good games in the last 7, and both were against the Saints, and he had the same pattern last year with the Falcs where he kind of declined in numbers the same way in the second half. But (in my opinion) obviously Gonzalez is maybe just one of 5 TEs no one should ever bench right now and he seems to be playing at the highest level of anyone. Also about Lewis - he had 2 red zone opportunities week 11 and like Gonz that's a great asset in terms of souring the wire for anyone in need of a TE who could go on a run. He's a major target in the end zone if he has a QB like Henne who can get it to him...

Didn't mention Gonzo as he hasn't had injury issues or moments of disappearing.

My gut says:

Keller is Sanchez safety valve and #2 target on a team that has few weapons especially in redone so he could be good if healthy

Lewis now has a passing threat and will see more underneath targets and is a redzone play

Bennett and Pitta have good schedules after this week.

So I think Pettigrew should get a major bump... Broyles is on IR and Pettigrew has been getting a ton of targets, Titus Young doesn't seem to be factored in any. Scheffler doesn't seem to get more than 2-3 targets.

Keller should probably be downgraded... injured his ankle (not a high ankle sprain) and who knows what is going on with the Jets QB's right now.

Olsen and Dallas Clark are still viable options, red zone targets and get decent amount of targets.

Heath Miller produced even without Big Ben, but he's coming back so get Heath if he's on the waiver wire which he probably isn't.

x2 on Jared Cook. 12 targets is 12 targets... that's a lot. Keep an eye on him, could pick it up in the playoffs.

It's obvious the new O coordinator in Tennessee loves Cook and the Titans won't be playing the Texans D every week. Probably as good a Week 14 fill in as anyone.

In Monday's game, Celek led PHI in targets with 8, catching 7 for 73. Foles is playing better each week and he has been named the starter for the rest of the season. He should be mentioned with the likes of Cook, Lewis, and Pitta. But they're probably all a crap-shoot.

Celeks playoff schedule:@ tampa 28 vs Tes in points in my leaguecincinnatti 7 vs Teswashington 29 vs TesIve got Keller with an ankle injury and Gates. My options are to A stand pat, B go for Vernon Davis boom or bust or Celek...... Im leaning Celek.

I've had a revolving door at TE all season. I've used Keller, Rudolph, Olsen, and Findley as starters throughout the year. I made the playoffs and I have a bye in week 14 so I only need a TE for week 15 and 16. After the week 13 games, I had Findley and Keller on my roster. I should have kept Rudolph, but dropped him earlier in the season and someone else picked him up.

Just this week I dropped both Findley and Keller and picked up Clark and Tamme. Tamme is someone I haven't heard any mention of in this thread. I thought Keller's production was going to pick up, but I just don't have a good feeling about him as long as Sanchez is at the helm. I am hoping Clark and / or Tamme will be productive for my playoff run. Tamme doesn't get many looks in the end zone but has gotten a lot of yds the past couple weeks. Clark is picking up in the Red Zone target category and has pretty good match ups.

I'm not sure it was a good idea to drop Finley. In fact I say he's a solid pick up right now. He's been getting targets and producing the past 3 weeks. 50+ yards isn't the greatest of production but it's decent production outside the top few options.

Heath looked good last week with Batch. With Gronk out and Gates stinking it up, perhaps it's Miller time...again? Myers has been a pleasant surprise - for me, I didn't pull the trigger on Myers after being snake-bitten by the McFadden fiasco and now D Moore in Oakland.

I agree with the above posts about Rudolph - without Percy they go to Kyle.
