I'm trying to make a trade on rtsports where i am getting 5 players and trading 4. Since the trade exceeds my roster limit I want to drop one of the guys I am receiving in the trade.

Does anyone know if the website will allow that?

The reason I want to do that is this is a salary cap league and I am taking the cap hit for dropping the player (50% of his value) to make the cash work in the trade.

You should be able to do it and basically you get a note that says your roster is short. Commish can push it forward manually.
