If the QB lines up under center with a back directly behind him can the center snap it like a shotgun snap through the QB's legs directly to the RB ?Granted it would be dangerous, but is that a legal snap ?
The only rule I believe is that the player calling the cadence must be the one receiving the snap. It doesn't matter who is lined up directly under center.

Is this true? I've seen the Patriots direct snap to Faulk in shotgun, when he's next to the QB. I'm not 100% certain, but I think Brady was barking the signals at the time.Or is this only true when the QB is under center, not in shotgun?
