Well home jersey's would be white right?Black Jersey's for away....Why is that a bad idea in Arizona???
 Somebody not only with intelligence, but wisdom too.
Why would there be rumors about a teams away jerseys? My first impression would be that any rumors would first be about home jerseys. From the first post
Many think this is a reference to the AC/DC song and that the end of it is "in black", thus the rumors of black jerseys.
I'm sorry if that is not 'intelligent and wise.'

I think it'd be cool if it were the Swooping Cardinal since that incorporates the Arizona Flag's colors in an inventive way. The Helmet with the Cardinal inside the shield in #2 is awful - reminds me of the original Raven helmet that was done on the fly (no pun intended) in a rush job. (Though the hate the Ravens, the current helmet was a HUGE improvment). The Cardinal looks like he's trapped in the bottom of a well or something - looks like a World Football League uni from 1975, but not in a cool retro way.The logo in #3 looks pretty sharp and the #4/#5 helmet uni combos seem the best of the bunch in that incorporate a southwestern feel (sorta like the Coyotes did with their unis). Incorporating the flag makes the blue 3rd uni reasonable.-QG

In addition to the first teaser that said "The Bird is back", the Cardinals website has posted new animated teasers with the slogans:"A New Breed of Cardinal" and"Now that's one tough bird" and"A New Bird is busting out"I don't think there's any doubt that the announcement is new unis.
At least they didn't use:"This place is for the birds" or"We have bird brains" ;)
Or "It's time for us to flip the bird"

Black unis in the Arizona sun? I don't think that is very smart .
100% agreement.
I think too many sports teams in general go with black uniforms. That is not only ugly, but it's also getting old. I also hate it when teams use the same color for both the jersey and pants. Talk about UGLY !! Being a UK fan, I was actually glad Duke changed their away uniforms to black. I kind of like them having ugly uniforms.

I'm against changing this traditional look. The new logos look to be paying homage to Foghorn Leghorn, for crissakes
Whoa there fella..... you got a problem with Foghorn Leghorn???? :boxing:

No word on the unis yet, but someone on the Cardinals message board, leaked the new logo. You can see it here:

Arizona Sports Fan Message Board

Scroll about two thirds down the page.

I really like it. The short of it is that the new logo is similar to the old logo but is much meaner. It just looks sort of tweaked and updated, similar to what the Falcons did to their logo. The black background suggests black helmets.

Earlier in the day the cards posted a new teaser trailer. This trailer showed an egg with the old cards logo cracking open. The egg only opened a tiny bit revealing just a small section of the logo. This image is clearly what is shown only partially in that trailer lending credence to the fact that it is legit. Apparently, someone found it by digging around on the Cards website.

link: http://www.azcardinals.com/fanzone/custom....?cid=birdisbackI think the logo looks better...hope the uni's don't dissappoint when they release later this week. This organizations needs a new look in more way than one.

Heh I really liked that shield logo Ravens helmet. It was unique and dignified. The new one with the raven head looks like they are Broncos' wannabes. Absolutely terrible.

in regards to the ravens logo, there was a lawsuit from the "designer" of the flag logo and the ravens had to forfeit and settled on the new bird...but onto the cards logo, any change is a good one,not sure if it will resultin more wins but i'd buy a t-shirt and i'm a titans fan...

Man if thats the logo change, I am continue to label the cards, top 5 worst uniforms. I absolutely love the last design in my last post. Can't wait for teh Cards to suck and continue to suck... their uniforms are even going to SUCK.Adding a line to the eyebrow of the bird is NOT a logo change in anyways shape or form... its called idiocey. :hot:

It's difficult to make a cardinal mean looking. Louisville did it, but there's looks more cartoon-like. The new logo is a step up from the old.I like it

The Spawn one has a bit more edge to it - I like it better than the leaked one. It looks more graphic novelly :) -QG

Yeah, I know all about that....but they should found some way to work it out and keep the shield. That bird helmet is awful.

As A Bengals fan I think it might've ours back in the day even though the Uni-Change was great (I think ESPN even did a feature on it, then again they also were showing Aussie-Rules Football on a regular basis back then as well.) Didn't realize there was such sentiment for the Shield Helmets of the Ravens - still looks a little like the Flying Toaster to me ;) -QG

Black helmets in the desert. AWESOME IDEA!! Oh man...
that's what I was thinking. Now if an iopposing player were to give a Card a shot in the head, the 3rd degree burns will be penalty enough.

Press Conference tid bits:Logo went down the path of "evolution" (small changes).Uniforms are going down the path of "drastic" change, will be revealed this spring...

I am hoping they look just like the Patriots uniforms and the players from Foxboro are still in them!!

Yeah some people didn't like the shield logo. I have no idea why. It was one of my favorites. That raven looks stupid.

Maybe it's me, but it's STILL just a Cardinal.I mean, who one earth is afraid of a CARDINAL? I don't care HOW tough you make it look, it's still a tiny little bird that weighs about 5 ounces. I look at that logo above, and I see a tiny little songbird on steroids. Why not call themselves the Arizona Mice? Maybe the Arizona Tufted Warblers... the Arizona Potato Bugs..Black uniforms in the desert.. Brilliant!Seriously,, every single decision that organization makes is not only wrong, it's about as WRONG as it can be.The Costanzas of the NFL~Bang

Well signing Dennis Green was probably a good move. Seeing as Bertrand Berry led the NFL in sacks and is starting the Pro Bowl, I'd say signing him was a pretty good move. Larry Fitzgerald has the potential to be one of the best WRs in the league, so drafting him was a good move. How about drafting Karlos Dansby and Darnell Dockett respectively? Those were both pretty good moves. Possible black helmets in air conditioned stadium? Oh the horror. Someone's head might catch on fire.Who on earth is afraid of a Cardinal? Or an Eagle? Or a Seahawk? Or a Falcon? Or a Brown? Or a 49er? Or a Packer? Or a Dolphin? Or a Steeler? Dumbest reason ever. You want to talk about every decision an organization makes being the wrong one? How about the Danny Snyder led-Redskins? Deion Sanders, Bruce Smith, The 2nd coming of Joe Gibbs, Spurrier, Brunnell, etc.Bill Bidwell did an awful job running the franchise for a long time, but these are not "the same old cards".
