Ruptured Achilles for LenDale White (1 Viewer)

The injury bug has bitten again in Denver. In a big way.

Last night, Broncos running back LenDale White left the preseason finale against the Vikings with what appeared to be an ankle injury. As it turns out, the injury was in the vicinity of his ankle.

As first Tweeted in non-hoax fashion from the bowels of the replacement to the '68 VW bus, White has torn his Achilles' tendon.

Per a league source, it's a full tear. White is out for the year.

Donkies RBs seem to be cursed this year.

Might be career over for Thindale. He was already slow and my guess is a major achilles injury will make him even slower.

Phil doesn't think LenDale was going to get much McLovin' from McDaniels anyhow. Phil thinks he was largely a preseason body. So this news doesn't really change too much in regard to Denver's backfield.

Moreno is the guy there, why even try to rush him back.

He is the only real playmaker they have, out of sheer opportunity Moreno is the guy to own. 9 total tds last year, and a year deeper in the system will allow for a breakout season for the second year runner. As a guy I was targeting, I am also glad Moreno is just sitting the preseason out.

I think you're underrating Buckhalter a bit in terms of big play ability. It's just injuries that have largely kept him from being solid year in and year out.Knowshon's indeed the guy to own but Buckhalter no doubt is going to steal some carries and some catches here and there. CB had a 5.4 YPC and 31 catches last year in just 7 starts (14 games total). He also had 120 carries, the third highest total of his career. His 31 catches were also a career high.I'd call Knowshon the "go to" RB but consider CB a very solid bye week filler type RB (more so in PPR leagues. He's a glorified Kevin Faulk in NE).Lance Ball (and maybe Bruce Hall if kept as a RB4 on the roster) were both solid enough in the preseason and could stick as well as depth guys or to provide breathers for a few carries here and there.

Phil thinks you should bump up Rogers and Finley now.

There........the 2 most annoying comments are finally together! :kicksrock:

Both Moreno and Buckhalter seem to be visited rather frequently by the injury bug. Buckhalter has a long NFL history of being injured. Moreno is just started. My point is that in the past six or seven years Buckhalter has routinely been injured, and severely (in fact he probably ought to find another day job if he values mobility past 40). Moreno is only starting along this path.I'm not saying that Buckhalter will be injured again this year, but I can't remember many years he's stayed healthy. Is history predicative. I don't know.

I always thought the Rams should have kept Lance Ball as their SJax backup. I like what that kid can do on the field.
