Ryan Broyles (1 Viewer)

Broyles with 3 catches for 54 yds last night. Anything of note or garbage time vs future grocery baggers?
One of the top 3 wideouts have to be injured for there to be any value this year.He should be the slot guy in place of Nate next year, and that's where he'd be this year minus any of the top 3.

I just don't think Burleson is going to be very effective anymore. He was OK for a bit but I don't see him getting much separation anymore. Titus young is next in line. After that it would be Broyles.

Titus passed him last year. Still, Burleson had a nice year last year. He is the vocal leader amongst the WRs (and maybe the entire offense) and Nate is good at blocking down field. Broyles will replace him eventually, but Burleson will be effective this year.

When you start to play guessing games you have to like Broyles a little more in a rookie draft. Top notch QB, high powered offense, Megatron effect, Burleson is old and one good year if I'm correct, and Titus Young is a good player but looks injury prone. Even if you think he's a average talent he could have a impact quicker than a better player like AJ Jenkins. It's more like your betting on Matt Stafford if you ask me.

Why is Titus Young more injury prone than Broyles? I don't see either as being injury prone in particular, but I'd think Broyles, coming off a major knee injury, would be the one thought of as having potential health issues at this point. Also, I think you have to take into consideration that Megatron, Pettigrew and Titus will see a significant number of targets which could severely limit Broyle's ceiling. Of course he could end up being more effective than Titus, but I don't know that I'd bank on that for this year at least.

I was surprised to see that Ryan Broyles was cut in my 12 team, point per reception, 25 roster dynasty league.

I decided to pick him up. Dropped Rod Streater to do it.

Broyle's should be getting close to being game ready. Swartz said that his last scratch in game 1 was not related to the injury.

A little bit of chatter on the Lions board that Broyles could see his first action today with Scheffler doubtful and not likely to play. Could be something - could be nothing.

So Titus Young hasn't practiced with a knee injury. I know Young wasn't doing anything anyway, but is there a bit more opportunity opening up for Broyles perhaps, coming out of the bye?

I would keep an eye on him since they need something different than what they have been doing, but it still seems too early to pull the trigger until Broyles actually does something.

Any buzz from Detroit homers about a Broyles emergence? I know many arent happy with Titus...
I don't think anyone in the organization was happy Titus Young late last year, it is why the Lions used a second round pick on Broyles even though their defense needed more help. I haven't heard much on the radio about Broyles yet, but he is an after thought right now because the teams has so many problems like special teams play, the defense, not to mention the recent return of Leshoure and possible return of Best to try to help that god awful running game. I have tried to buy Broyles low in all my leagues, I think by this time next year he will be Staffords second favorite target and easily be a wr3 with the upside of a wr2.

This kid can catch. Those were some bullets Stafford threw to him. His skills look legit. Does not look that fast, but then all the attention is on 81 on the other side.

Just heard on the radio that Burleson has a broken leg..done.
Broyles should be the slot guy from here on out. 2 TE offenses might take him off the field though.
Broyles is now in line for a very respectable amount of targets. Calvin is getting so much attention this year it's ridiculous. Stafford has been looking for the underneath and intermediate routes all season long. Broyles playing the slot could be money for PPR leagues. It depends how much Det plans to use the 3 WR set vs the 2 TE set. I have no idea on that. Maybe Det homers would know more.

What does the rest of the depth chart look like?

Here are the WRs they have (are there others on roster?)

N. Burleson

T. Young

K. Osgood

C. Johnson

R. Broyles

Is Titus Young always in the slot, or can he play outside?

Bump 2013 ppr sleeper? Cost me a 14th round pick in a Dynasy startup. That's probably not the greatest discount giving his injury history but his upside is great. He won't ever see too much coverage under Mega, works with Stafford, and he's on a team that throws a lot. He was on schedule for a Shorts-like break out after the Hou game. I'm not saying build a team around him but if your debating between a old vet or any wr with a low upside then Broyles is a nice dice roll.
