Ryan Matthews status (1 Viewer)

Been reading this on forums and saying the same thing. He took a hard hit at the end of a blowout game and was rested as a precaution. No news came out after the game, and nothing at all today. All signs pointing to him being fine.

Fine, except the Baltimore defense this week.
Ravens D wasn't all that last time they went west @ SEA against Marshawn Lynch. Hope Mathews can be productive against them too. :boxing:
RB's are averaging 86 yds/game against them and theoir run def. is ranked #2 in my league. One game traveling to SEA does not indicate their entire season. They will be tough and Mathews will earn every yard. I hope he does well. I'm just not real confident this week.

Yeah - was kind of just trying to make myself feel better about starting him. Ray Lewis may also be back this week. :(

So then tell me who they are? Losses to Seattle, Jacksonville, and Tennessee....and having to come from behind to barely edge Arizona at home. They haven't always beaten the teams they should beat, and SD is one of those teams.

Rank Team Att Yd TD FPTS

4 RB vs Ravens 23 79 0.5 12.5

I believe the discussion was about Mathews prospects and specifically against Balt. this week.

These stats are from CBSSportsline and show that RB's versus Balt. is a tough situation.

I'm not debating how good the overall Balt. defense is this year(not as strong as b4 I think) or how many W's/L's they have against good or bad teams. I'll leave that to your expertise for another thread.

hes talking about their run defense

The Broncos play the Patriots this week. The Chargers know they need to beat Baltimore to close the gap in the division. I think it is safe to say that the Chargers view this game as a must win. Ryan Mathews has looked healthy the last few weeks and he has helped many fantasy teams qualify for a week 15 playoff game. It is time for Ryan Mathews to break out or bust out.

Exactly. Not to mention SD WRs are healthy, which is a huge reason Rivers is playing better, and why Mathews is playing so well. Baltimore's secondary is going to have to play the pass giving Mathews a lot of opportunities.
