Saints fan snatches football from Cincy fan (1 Viewer)

I'm pretty sure that guy was Mark Ingram, and I while I haven't seen the clip, I'm sure he spent as much time on his ### as he did running for those hard-fought yards during that carry as he would for the rest of the game.

Am I even making sense anymore?

I don't get it - I thought fans weren't allowed to keep the balls?
it was a ##### move, but this was my understanding as well.
Not true, of course they get to keep it.
"Of course?" For years, the balls were tracked down by security and put back into the game ball pool. Now they still come take them, but they will give the person a replacement ball that is not a game ball.
Players get to keep the ball when they score a TD and do what they want with them.

If it were me I wouldn't want a TD ball scored by a player of the opposing team.

He would still be a richard but I would have had at least some respect if the guy would have smacked the ball away as it was given to the Bengals fan.

These girls ran down the aisle and were bothering this guy at his seat right? Would have been better to just smack the ball away but I have no problem with snatching it from them. Go back to your seat girls.

They weren't in his seat. They were standing in the aisle, the ball was clearly intended for the woman, he knew that, waited until it was tossed and then used his size to push her out of the way and take the ball. Clear **** and classless move.

Girl should've pretended to get hurt. He was pretty forceful and could've hurt her.

If she grabbed her arm or something this would be a complete different story. Scumbag would be getting more than just dirty looks.

Hope he gets embarrassed and shamed more than he is.

I don't think he spends much time on the internet.

Coming down to the front row in your away gear is a #### move too. Again, go back to your seat girls.

It's a ### move to come down a few rows to catch a football that your team is trying to throw to you? Please. The fact that it's a road game doesn't mean a damn thing. It shouldn't make any difference at all that the game was in NO. Quit defending this dbag and trying to place blame on the victim.

It wouldn't be Monday morning Shark Pool if we didn't have people arguing about a non-player related issue and waiving/handing out race cards. Good morning, yall! :drive:

I'm sure there is a tv in his local area. If this is getting national attention I'm sure it's even bigger wherever he is.

This will definitely be #1 on the "Come on, man!" section next weekend

I think we're taking this a little far when we're calling her a victim, like there was a crime committed or something.
Agree. Victim in the true sense of the word may imply more harsh actions but I was at a lack of better word. Regardless of how anyone wants to spin it she did nothing wrong and this guy was clearly in the wrong. I can't believe anyone would try to make it like she did something wrong.

I actually deleted my post to avoid get into a pissing match with someone on the definition of "victim". Good to see we agree.

He looked like he spends the whole week sitting in his stadium seat, waiting for another game to start.

A two page thread over a fan taking a ball from a visiting fan? Shoot I wouldnt let any Bengals fan be happy in my house if they were kicking our butt either. So many people and their morals in sports.

He didnt punch her or hurt her, he said "Oh heck no, you aint getting that ball in our home, no celebration for you."

Why is everyone so sensitive like their are rules for everything in life?

There are rules over there. Their rules are dumb. There you go. Their dog once pooped in my lawn. Right there. In the grass there. They're running around like it is not a big deal. There is no way I'm cleaning that up.

Homophones, ruling words one incorrect usage at a time.

It didn't seem to me that he was saying anything other than "I'm a selfish jerk". The ball was clearly being given to the lady and he snatched it away. That makes him a doosh in my book.

One way to look at it, but I forget in the rule book of life rule 126 says: A person must let a fan inside your stadium get the ball that the rival team is trying to give to them as a celebration. In no way should a fan defend its home by not allowing a team to showboat in your house of fandom by taunting by going up to the crowd and rubbing it in.

The woman who ripped the ball from a kid is a different story. Children are seriously the one person you cant rip a ball from.

Hard to imagine a stadium where opposing fans are treated better than the Dome. Several times I heard the Whodeys being asked if their stay was nice, if they were enjoying themselves, being encouraged to secondline to the music outside the Dome (I saw this by a brass band), encouraging them to spend money & come again, restaurant & bar recommendations, etc.

They're not showboating. She's a person who roots for the Bengals, is excited to see them doing well for once, probably travelled for the game, and is getting a touchdown ball from one of the guys on her team. That's what sports is about.

If sports is about enforcing macro tribal bullcrap concepts like "OUR HOUSE! [until the owner moves the team to LA]", sign me out.

There are no rules for class, you either have it or you don't. The Saints fan in question clearly doesn't.

Many years of Mardi Gras training gave old Saints fan a huge advantage. Still a #### move. Just because you can do something doesn't mean that you should. Unfortunately for me I watched the entire game and it was easily the best defensive play by a Saint all afternoon.

Right, it was just instinct.

There is a party/Margi Gras/band line/bead throwing/shoe grabbing/ event seemingly like every weekend in NO. He obviously grew up in this culture and there is no changing him now. She should be just be glad he didn't wear his Indian costume or assault her ### like that joker clown did to Jimmy Graham.

And when I say ### clown I mean ### clown. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGe--I6ApLw

Right, actually the Mad Hatter and Batgirl sit near me, so does Rob Ryan, not kidding.

Truth. You don't know "old man strength" until you've seen "old man parade strength."

Well, "there" are unwritten rules on human decency.

That would have been hilarious....

...he would have just needed to back it up w/ the Mutombo finger wag
I think leaning over and popping open a Tom Benson umbrella to deflect the ball at the last instant and then doing a little Benson Boogie to celebrate would have earned him instant enshrinement in the Sports GIF HOF.

This actually happened to me on a much smaller level 3 years ago in Arizona. I was in a Texans jersey around maybe 10 people in Cards jerseys at the tunnel where the players went back to the locker room after the game. One of the texans linemen (no clue who it was) saw me as the only texans fan, took off his wristband and tossed it to me. One of the cards fans grabbed it and refused to give it back. Not sure why he would want the armband (not really sure why I did either, but I did!), but he was a huge d!ck about it and it almost caused a fight.

When I was a kid an elderly lady in a lawnchair drilled the tip of an umbrella into my hand as I went down to get a doubloon. I'll never forget that.

I have to laugh at anybody remotely promoting the concept that fans somehow have to defend their house from opposing fans. No respect, none.
