Saints general manager Mickey Loomis said the team is not planning to send quarterback Adrian McPherson to NFL Europe this year, although new coach Sean Payton will be consulted before a final decision is reached.
Loomis said it's important for McPherson to work with the Saints' coaches in his first full off-season, and maybe next year would be a better time for him to play in Europe.
McPherson, a fifth-round draft pick last spring, was inactive for all 16 regular-season games this season as the third quarterback on the roster.
