SAINTS @ RAIDERS -- *Game Thread* (1 Viewer)

That Taiwan Jones TD, I just lost a half a tooth chewing on a cashew. Nuts!
Yeah. You ever see a play and you're like, "I can't put my finger on it but something about that made me really take notice"?

I think Jones looks like he can do more McFadden-like things when if DMAC gets hurt. Since the Raiders have said they are building an offense around what DMAC can do, makes Jones a guy for fantasy.
Yeah, and imagine if they could ever be allowed to bench DHB and take the training wheels off the offense. Then they'd be onto something.

He's still 3rd in line for carries, making him a tough short roster stash even in dynasty. He's sitting on my waiver wire now but not sure I can dump anyone else to grab him.

Ingram is a stud, there is no question. It's why you want him on your team. The only question is how much PT he gets. As the rigors of the season go on, Ingram will separate himself from the rest and earn a way into the starting lineup.

Pierre has earned playing time in his time here. People sometimes forget that he helped win the Saints a super bowl. He isn't just going to get cast aside and benched.

But Ingram will get more and more PT as the season goes on.

Terrele Pryor wearing #6. Marc Wilson's old number. He wanted number 2, but coach Jackson said no. I think the Raiders are burning the number 2 in effigy for all eternity, or at least until uncle Al croaks.

Taiwan sure makes a lot of guys miss.
He looks very patient and sets up his would be tacklers and takes the perfectly timed side step. Makes them all look like they are running in sand. This is exciting stuff to watch. Regardless if you are a Raider fan or not. He's got some superstar wiggle in him.

I know it's just PS, but Taiwan jones does kind of have that 'special' look to him. That was a pretty neat stop/start/change of direction in that last series. His hands look better than I'd heard. Next to no redraft value (maybe a little in a multiple keeper league) but I have to imagine he's not gonna be left in many dynasty leagues after this weekend.

Collinsworth has already started comparing him to CJ3.... :lmao: CC is an idiot.

Regarding Taiwan Jones and his dynasty prospects: Bush is on a one year deal, if I remember correctly, which makes Taiwan one year away from being the primary backup to a RB that has never player an entire season.

Ingram = Beast
Watched the first half and saw nothing = Beast out of ingram. I saw this post and assumed he maybe got some 3rd quarter action a broke a big one. Nope... 7 yards and a TD on a few carries and 24 yards receiving. Not saying he's not a beast, you just got my hopes up that he had done something whimsical.

Colston looks great to me, i read a report where Peter King said he was very worried about that knee. It looksmlike he is settling into a typical 80+ 1150yds, 7 td year. Looks like nice value again.
He was about half a yard from scoring two TDs, nice to see those red zone looks. :thumbup:

Ingram = Beast

I didnt see the game, but based on his statline, Im wondering why this is the case?
I'm sensing the 'beast' posts=sarcasm.
Either that or they drafted him and are hoping Sean Payton reads the SP, so Ingram/PT/Sproles don't share too much time. Kinda like clicking your heels together and saying "there's no place like home"...if you say it enough maybe it'll come true. ;)

I don't think Ingram gets the majority if PT and Sproles stay healthy. I'm glad I watched this game before my drafts this week, because it tells the story better than speculation.
The Falcons passed the ball 42 times in the first half. Do we really think they're going to be THAT pass heavy in the regular season? Of course not.Even the all-important 3rd preseason game isn't necessarily an indicator of what's going to happen in the regular season.
I think it pretty clear from tonight that PT will get a good share of the carries, and they will also sprinkle in SOME Sproles. Combine that with Payton not caring about specific GL backs... points to Ingram not being the value many are thinking he will be.Now if PT gets hurt (always a good possibility), it's a totally different ball game. JMO.
PT looks pretty ordinary and disposable. Sproles looks like he'll be a bigger weapon this year than PT. But nobody looks like the allpro that Ingram is. I don't see how you draw that conclusion from that first half. Ingram is the beast.

Well Sproles did turn out to be quite the weapon. And the season is a marathon, not a sprint. I think/hope Ingram will ramp up and bounce back. But for tonight. :kicksrock:
