Saints @ Vikings (1 Viewer)

It's just so funny to see opinion change this drastically. Just a few years ago Sean Payton was regarded as a genius coach, one of the very best in the NFL. I never really bought into that. Now per this thread he's regarded as one of the worst coaches in the NFL. I don't buy into that either. He's OK.
6 months ago the Patriots were awesome. Now, per the threads, the dynasty is over.  It is a fickle crowd.

It's tough to keep having top offenses after getting rid of your best players - Graham, Stills and Cooks. Last year they scored more than any team except the Falcons.

You sound like a recent Ingram owner. Last year was the first year he really "got his", and even then Payton kept him from getting a heck of a lot more.
Last 3 years he's been RB 15,15,10. His VBD 42, 29, 59. He's been nothing but consistant if you know he's a situational RB2 with upside and don't overpay,

That's the thing though. You get to claim Louis Armstrong (and Dr. John and Professor Longhair.)

I still remember when I was a kid those guys who went to Saints games with trashbags on their heads. Whatever happened to those guys?
That was started by a guy who convinced the owner to hire Ditka and his 12-36 record.

Good grief, why is Cook still in there?  Why not risk Murray getting hurt in garbage time?

full disclosure:  Cook owner, multiple leagues

You can only grind out so many wins with minimal talent.  Their defensive players are horrible...coaching can only hide that for so long.  Nobody on that D is being measured for a bust in Canton

Outside of last year, he's finished right around studs like Ivory, L. Murray, McFadden, Al Morris, Joique Bell, Matt Asiata, etc. It isn't that difficult to be a RB 2- Payton is keeping him from being a RB 1.

I don't care what he could be if the world was different, I care where I can draft him with value and he's always shown value for his ADP.

Kind of getting that Les Miles feel about the Saints and Sean Payton. Saints are getting kind of stale. Team has been over due for some change and usually that starts with a new coach.

Seems like the Saints want Kamara to be the lead of the committee
Yeah, the slobbering over him really makes it seem like Ingram just isn't going to get a legit chance to be the guy. It's still weird to me that they resigned him when Payton clearly doesn't care for him.

And honestly, I wasn't impressed by Kamara at all. Yeah, the NO O-line is atrocious, but he didn't show much at all.

Not really. Anyway, you said "he goes through this every year"- link to when he's started out a season with 6 carries and then "gotten his"?

Every year there are new RBs in town and Ingrams demise is predicted, dude you already got proved wrong in this game, he's gonna get his touches, relax.

:lmao:

He got bailed out in garbage time (Kamara must have had to go to the bathroom or something) and still only finished with 11 touches. But hey, he put up ~the same amount of points as Mike Tolbert and Theo Riddick (maybe next week he can catch Chris Thompson), and he's on pace for under 100 carries, but I guess that already proves me wrong, dude.

Ingram was rb10 last year on only around 200 carries. The fact that he's catching passes is a good sign. Once Peterson is old/hurt/bad then Ingram will get increasingly more 1st and 2nd down work. This is obviously a timeshare, but that doesn't mean he can't be an ok fantasy asset. He also got some RZ carries in the first half.

Unfortunately, he only got 6 carries this week, so 200 might be a stretch this year (and his 5.1 ypc probably isn't sustainable). 5 catches is nice overall, but 4 of them came in garbage time on their final drive- I don't consider his 1 target in the first 56 minutes of the game a good sign. Guys like Hightower being old/bad didn't really increase Ingram's workload in the past, so not so sure that would happen now. I agree that he can be an ok fantasy asset, but he's more than an ok player, so that's a disappointment.

The easiest and most obvious comparison is the Fouts Chargers.  Even Marino, possibly the greatest of all time
Well true but Marino played on some horrible teams when Shula was living off passed glory as well. I also think that it's changed and it's all about the passing games now. So qb is even more important than it was.
