*** San Diego - Oakland *** (1 Viewer)

And the mad rush to the waiver wire to pickup Turner is on...
Let's not freak out. Nothing to suggest its a serious injury at this point. Obviously, if you need LT to be big today to make the playoffs, then this is tough, however.
Oh I don't have LT, and our pick ups are over, I can just see thousands upon thousands logging into their Yahoo leagues to try and claim Turner!!! :D

So, why doesnt Oakland use some TO's with SD down on the goal line to try to have a minute left to get the ball back? Then, on the KO, why does Flemister take 9 seconds to go all of 6 yards on the return?

It's right before the second half. I'm sure he's just going in early to get looked at. He'll be just fine.
Thanks, but unfortunately you don't really know
OK, I admit it. It's life threatening. He'll be announcing his retirement at halftime.
It can't be that bad he was running off the field. Although the injury (whatever it is) did cost him a td late in the 1st half.

If they didn't use LT on the goal line in a tied divisional game, I'd be extremely worried if I had him on my roster.I'd also be concerned if I had Jordan, he seems like a forgotten man in the Oakland offense tonight.

I think it has more to do with the fact that SD is in the middle of a playoff run and they wanted to ensure that their franchise player was OK before slamming him into the line of scrimmage at the goal line.

He's got 10 rushes and 2 receptions, in the first half, he's not forgotten at all.

Did the announcers say anything about LT? Was it his ribs or what?edit: nevermind forgot that this was the espn crew...

SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson came out of Sunday's night game against Oakland with a rib injury, but returned for the start of the second half. The extent of the injury wasn't immediately known. Tomlinson jogged to the locker room, accompanied by a team doctor, with 22 seconds left before halftime. A few seconds later, his backup, Michael Turner, scored on a 2-yard run to give San Diego a 17-10 lead. Tomlinson apparently was hurt on a 3-yard run late in the second quarter. He came off the field, took off his helmet and began speaking with the team's medical staff. Tomlinson carried on San Diego's first two plays from scrimmage in the third quarter.

Tomlinson looked wiped out by the end of that drive. He was either banged up, sucking wind, or both. Nothing serious, but he looked like he was ready for a rest.
