Raider Nation

Devil's Advocate
Seriously, find me a single reason to watch this contest. You'd have to be a degenerate gambler to try and handicap this game, so betting on it is out the window. Both offenses are perfectly dreadful, so it figures to be a 3-and-out punt-fest. I guess Frank Gore owners might want to see a play or two, but even he is far from being 100% healthy.

Not that the Houston/Oakland matchup will be much easier to stomach.

I think the Raiders are going to have a good week and take out the frustration from those close loses on the Texans this weekend, I think we coast to a 27 - 13 victory. Therefore it will be a GREAT game to watch.

Die-hard Niners fan in Austin - I've been watching Niner games with my buddy since I moved here in '89. We'll be watching...we may not last throught the whole game, but we'll watch....luckily the NE/INDY game is at 3:15...

I picked up the Atlanta D for a one week filler. I've been riding the Colst D/ST all year, but simply do not trust them in a game where points are bound to be scored. Well, more points than in this ATL/SF snoozefest, anyway. So I'll be keeping an eye on this one.Not that my own personal situation matters one whit to anyone, but hey, you asked.

I'm with this guy. Whether positive or negative depending on your viewpoint through fantasy football a few wretched souls care about a game this bad

I'm a homer, I'll watch it if I can figure out how. Might have to resort to listening on Sirius.

On a lighter note, might be a golden opportunity to get my season tix back.

I triple dog dare anyone in Atlanta to watch this game... it's going to be blacked out.
no it won't. lol. when was the last time a falcons game didn't sell out? they've been terrible in alternate years for a decade and they've always sold out.that's what happens when you allow ticket brokers to buy hundreds of tickets at a time below face value. the stadium "sells out" because the brokers bought all the tickets, the brokers end up losing money if they can't sell a percentage of the tickets they bought, and the game isn't blacked out.

Umm, already been announced. AJC Article

BTW, a few straw-clutching reasons to watch this game:

Harrington: Someone will have to start 08, and it could be him. Will he try to go downfield and prolong his career?

Ojinaaka: Tackle gets his first start in place of injured rookie Foster. Does he make the o-line better, or worse?

Trey Lewis: Jackson was cut for free-lancing and not following the scheme, theoretically giving up big plays. More disciplined play at the position equals better run-stopping?

Norwood: The weekly "Norwood being worked into a greater role" mantra has got a little more meat behind it this week.

L Robinson: Can he be the late-season sleeper a lot of people think he can be? Will he start stealing more targets from Jenkins/Horn?

White: Has he made the transition from situational starter/sleeper to a reliable WR2/3?

:useless:

WOW. i certainly stand corrected. i'd bet this is the first time in a decade the falcons weren't sold out.

6 straight, actually, since the day Blank bought the team. Should be noted that in the early days of the streak, Blank was buying out seats to sell it out. Was a bit shocked he didn't do it this time.
