Santana Moss...is the Shark buying or selling? (1 Viewer)

The shark move is to scoop him up.Most disgruntled owners will be happy to move him after his first big game of the year, and so he's still a buy low.I traded Torry Holt and Warrick Dunn for Santana Moss and Cadillac Williams. While I Don't expect Moss to eclipse Holt, I do expect both to be solidly in the top-10, perhaps top-7 this year, and once Norwood starts getting more reps in the backfield soon, Dunn's value will diminish more. I expect Cadillac to break out of his rut starting this week....
Wow, I *really* dislike that deal from your standpoint. You just took a huge downgrade at two positions and got nothing in return, imo.
Redraft league - pretty bad trade.Dynasty league - I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume it's not a dynasty league. :X
I only play redraft money leagues. I don't see much of a downgrade from Holt to Moss, and like I said, I'm certain Cadillac breaks out of his rut this week and goes on another 100-yd game rampage.Sure as of week 4 it's a bad deal, but two weeks, three weeks, eight weeks from now it will be the move that solidified my title defense. Also worth noting that Dunn was my RB3 in that league..

Here's the numbers I see...Torry Holt- 52 targets (1st in NFL), 50% catch%Santana Moss- 24 targets (T-38th in NFL), 70.8% catch%Since statistics such as catch% and ypc tend to trend towards career averages, it's pretty safe to say that Torry Holt's catch% and ypa are likely to increase and Santana's catch% and ypa are likely to decrease over the remainder of the season. As a Santana Moss owner, it's nice to hear that you think Santana is somewhere in the same ballpark as Torry Holt in terms of fantasy value this year, but as a fantasy football player, I have to strongly disagree with you.
