Saving seats on Southwest Flights (1 Viewer)

Sounds like the whole thing ruined your trip more than it ruined theirs. Doubt any of them are on a message board complaining about not being able to sit together
That's where you're wrong - FBG's live to have something to post here.

So when people buy tickets for a football game the day before for a group of eight, should you just let them sit in your season ticket seats? When you get tickets to a sold out show that aren't together, should everyone move so your family can sit together? What about the subway during rush hour? It's unfair your family has to stand because you chose to travel during rush hour?

I was just passing time on a flight pal. As long as Duke keeps it up ain't nothing ruined.

Good on you for doing the lord's work here, but I'm disappointed that you backed out with the apology.

If they really wanted to sit together they could have each paid the $12.50 for early boarding, or sat nearer to the back of the plane, or set an alarm and checked in 24 hours before the flight. All easy options. Obviously it wasn't that important to them that they sit together.

Witnesses something similar a just a few days ago

I was on a flight from RDU to San Juan PR with a stop in Tampa

An older couple gets on and stands in the two isle seats in front of where I am seated with my family just a few rows behind the wing seats

As people were looking for seats and come to the row with the old couples standing up asking about the window seats in those rows both of them lied and said they were holding seats for someone. A flight attendant even asked them.

Anyway it turns out they weren’t waiting on anyone else they were simply blocking people from sitting down so that they could have an entire row to themselves. The lady even broke out a pillow and laid across all three seats while reading her book

The flight wasn’t full obviously but I did notices quite a few rows of people sitting 3 across behind us.

I just kept thinking how rude these old ####s were

Never said he was wrong for taking the seat. Just that it seemed to be a bigger deal for him, than anyone else involved.

I think he should have nut punched the old man and then had sex with the old guys wife while the rest of the family watched in horror. That would have been a worthwhile post.

You know we're living in a society; we're supposed to act a certain way.

You mean we are suppose to post our everyday mundane occurrences on random message boards?

Must have been a fun trip to Vegas if this is what you came here to post?

I have only had someone save a single seat... And a couple of times in maybe 20 total SW flights. Still bothered me.

Agree with others here. You can save 1 and possibly 2 if you plop down in the middle seat, but the other side of the aisle is open territory.

What's your play here? Do you just sit down in one of the seats? Or move their stuff then walk to the back anyways? Crop dust them?
I handed him the coat he had in the aisle seat and sat down. He grumbled and said he was saving the seat and I just ignored him.
I don't think i can side with you on this one. Is it really that big a deal to sit near the front that you want to make a whole family hate you - and then have to sit next to them for the whole flight? I mean if it was the last aisle seat on the plane or something I guess I can see it, but just to say "not on my watch" seems like a jerk move.
Can't say I totally disagree with you but it's just the principle. You can't save five ####### seats.
I wouldn't be comfortable pulling that myself, but I'm glad there are people like you out there.

Even more fun than you posting replies...twice?
