i think the rams will take j. long if he is there... maybe the MIA gaffe about a defensive pillar means this will happen... somebody should get signed in a few days, so rams may be on the clock before sat (could they commence negotitaions before draft, too?)...
if he is gone, i like dorsey or c. long better than gholston... gholston could have highest upside of any of these guys (or anybody in draft?), but he could be one-dimensional... freeney is, but he is faster & quicker than gholston...
if you think dorsey could be a near sapp & c. long might be better than kerney... i'd take dorsey... i think he is best defensive player of the draft, & he is player more than anybody else i have heard characterized as best overall player in the draft (if healthy, which he appears to be)...
i acknowledge DE more pressing need, but imo dorsey may be better enough than c. long (if j. long gone) to justify BPA over team need (for instance, i would be heavily bummed if they took mcfadden, using BPA as justification)...
good point about c. long's excellent hands... that will really help expedite his learning curve... he is supposedly a historically good prospect in that dept.
i thing gholston's floor may not be same as j. long, dorsey & c. long, & imo this pick HAS to turn into a blue chip, franchise cornerstone player, so i think its better to be safe than sorry... i will be really happy with any of those three... i won't be disappointed if they take j. long at expense of defense... but if you scratched me deep, i'm hoping they emerge with dorsey...
in 2nd, hoping CB/WR from group of sweed, cason, flowers, kelly falls...
