My initial impressions of Hasselbeck: I have seen nothing to make me think he cannot give it a go. Just threw a 25-yarder with good zip.
If Hass plays, Seattle has a chance.

Matt Hasselbeck (hip/glute) is active and will start Sunday night against the Rams.
It had been looking likely that Hasselbeck would give it a go, and he tested out his hip/glute in warmups and felt good enough to start. He's no guarantee to finish the game, so Charlie Whitehurst, who took most of the reps in practice this past week, will be ready. The Seahawks inactives include third QB J.P. Losman, WR Brandon Stokley, T Will Robinson, T Breno Giacomini, G Stacy Andrews, G Paul Fanaika, DT Amon Gordon and LB Joe Pawelek.
