Seahawks @ Redskins Game Thread (1 Viewer)

Well, I promised in that Seattle vs. Washington pre-game chatter thread that I would come on here and take my medicine if the Skins lost. So here I am. Congrats Seattle. The Seahawks are a solid team; good luck in the next round. As a Skins fan, I have mixed emotions. On the one hand, I am extremely happy and proud of the team. No one picked them to do anything this year and they made the playoffs...that is one great accomplishment. On the other hand, watching the gaame, I think they should put in Cousins much earlier in the game. That's on Shanahan...he needs to overrule RGIII for the good of the team. I think this was a winnable game for a while and they really hindered themselves by staying with RGIII even though he was so injured. That said, Seattle is a fine team who deserved to win this game. Congrats and good luck vs. Atlanta.

Crappy field did not help there - that was real bad looking
I don't think that was the field. I just think he planted, made lateral, twisting movement to change direction (as anyone would), and the knee just couldn't take it.
:goodposting: I read RGIII's lips talking to Shanny and I saw him say "Naw, it ain't tore, coach". I don't think it's torn (any worse then it was. :tinfoilhat: )

Wow, Sherman...the ultimate dooshbag!
Most of the Seahawks are. Too bad they have an excellent QB who seems all class, throws the doosh balance off.
I am a Skins fan but Hall and Garçon are pretty much dooshbags also, they remind me of Brian Mitchell, they just talk too much, looks classless.
I agree with that but talking during the game and AFTER the game like Sherman did are completely different IMO.

Wait for all the Seahawks fans claiming how they owned the Redskins and this proves they can win on the road...
Dude...it does not seem to have been that bad in here...why do this and egg it on?
That way he and Mr pack can bag on Seattle fans from a high horse they don't belong on. Knew Mr P would be like that, kinda surprised pstx is.
:grad:
:lmao: :lmao: Got your pre-emptive snipes in (even when people are correcting themselves) so you can then come back and call others down. Just like I said. Good luck against SF.

Wow, Sherman...the ultimate dooshbag!
Ultimate? Williams is known as being an antagonizer as well. Hard to say who started it and any helmeted player that hits an unhelmeted player in the face is a big doosh himself.
Say what? So your saying players should take off their helmets and then go talk crap so guys have to just sit there and take it??? He got what was coming, no chance I take my helmet off after that game!

Not at all. I didn't see how it started but neither of them are saints who let just their play do the talking and run their mouths. No reason for William to strike out physically after the game, no matter what. Even if Sherman was the sole cause of the incident, Williams just lowers himself to that level by making it physical. Please note before people go nuts (even though that won't stop anyone) I'm not saying Sherman didn't do anything in this. I've been very critical of him running his mouth all season long.

Jesus Christ. I thought the NFCN threads were the worst. Congrats y'all - you're as good as a GB/Vikes thread.

Griffin hurt bad that time :( Hope hes ok.
:lmao: His ACL's shot. He's not okay at all.
Are you a doctor or do have Xray vision?
Wanna make a bet on it?
I remember when Peterson tore his. He couldn't put weight on it and was in way more pain.
Good for you. You must also be a doctor with Xray vision, cool.Put your money where your mouth is; I will.
I don't want to put money on it. I think you are revelling in RGIII's misfortune. You are a complete loser.
Not in the least you f'n idiot. It sucks, I love the guy, and it's easy to see who I was rooting for today. Just calling it like I see it. Don't try to change the subject because you don't have the balls to put your money where your mouth is. YOU were the one that called me out, so let's make a wager, DR.

Can you give me TWO reasons why it hasn't been that bad?
Scientist and MS were not around much of the game?
Says the guy getting bagged on all over the place for ruining threads. :lmao:

I sure am...in that one thread that was fine while I was posting in it til a few came in to talk crap right?Nice try ms.

First off, I hope Clemons' and Griffin's knees are going to be ok. Second, I would love to see this be a fairly regular postseason (and reg season too I guess) matchup. Two similarly built teams going toe to toe in a slugfest. Love to watch RG3 and Wilson have a good Manning/Brady type rivalry for the next decade.

Love some Russell Wilson....how about the Lynch TD run when he ran ahead trying...trying to block. Kids a baller.

I did not report you. I just don't want to wager on a players injury.

Oh, okay, fair enough. Misunderstanding. To be clear, I'm not rooting for this at all and didn't appreciate you insinuating as much. I'm just pretty sure of what I saw (and what's transpired) and your sarcastic comments made for a good bet, I figured.

Congrats to Redskins fans on a great year.

Have to question playing RGIII at all, that's Shannahan getting greedy IMO and risking the franchise. Crowd was good, very few problems except people around me actually believing the Skins had a better chance with Kirk Cousins. Sorry, but Kirk Cousins is an NFL career backup in the future and you aren't playing Cleveland.

Seahawks gonna burn Atlanta like the Union army did.

My brother just texted me an interesting take on rg3 final injury play....he never made a single attempt at recovering that fumble. Yet walked off the field (and walked around post game, etc). What's up with that??

I wouldn't normally agree with that, but he (according to shanny) is the one who keeps saying not to take him out of game so he can compete. Well, if you're not being taken out on a stretcher them compete, at least TRY to recover that fumble (turn your body on ground, at least look where ball is to see if you can still grab it) so your backup can come in and try to come back.

He sorta gave up, like "well I'm done, so so are we".

I know I'm gonna get flamed for this, but if you watch the reply it looks like he didnt even consider trying to recover that fumble, yet again, a few mins later walks right off field....

Shanny AND rg3 need to realize that while he IS great, they can't win it with just each other. Was like that Fred Taylor fumble where he tore his groin where he just dropped the ball (gave up on play).

It's just a pet peeve when people start reporting unknown info like it's a fact. I can't help but to call them on it. Lets forget about it.

You can walk on a knee with a torn (or missing) ligament, but immediately after your knee folds the wrong way, it's pretty painful, not to mention freaky to feel your body bend in ways it's not supposed to.

I was actually worried that the difference in the game was going to come down to Carroll being outcoached by Shanny and that seemed quite probable after 15 minutes. Side note: I can't remember who said it but it was an imagining of the strategy tent with Sherman (Tecumseh) and Grant.Grant: You see this city here, Atlanta?Sherman: YessirGrant; Get there, destroy it. However you want.Sherman: Yessir!Much funnier in person.

From the times I've seen injuries like that on the field there is an initial surge of pain coupled with the mental paralysis of hearing/feeling a pop and all the permanent injury baggage that crashes into their mind. Once they kind of work through the pain and recover from the insanity of the initial shock, it's a different story.

Washington had a terrific gameplan at the outset and I really got worried Morris was gonna be able to do that all day. Then I saw Griffin roll out and knew we just needed to hold them on their next few possessions and everything would be fine. When Lynch fumbled I almost :X though, Skins fans knew the game was about to get out of hand and that let them right back in. But the D held, domination after the first. What's the word on Clemons?

Nice cheap shot by #71 on sherman at the end of the game. Keep being classy Redskins.....you got knocked out.
Does it ever get tiring being this obnoxious...is it something you work at, or does it just come naturally?
:lmao:Says the most obnoxious poster in the Shark Pool. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I gotta save this dandy, everyone thinks you're such a pud. Cute you don't recognize it.
Cuter that you constantly interupt topics to bash while barely actually staying on the topic. Thanks for that.
