Seattle @ Washington ... Pregame chatter (1 Viewer)

A few notes:

Browner will start

Gus Bradley has been (or will be) granted permission to interview with Philly for the HC job. Hard to say a fanbase would be unhappy with a DC coaching a top defense, but I've never really been a fan. Maybe because he was a Moron Jr pick, but the 3rd down problems are indicative of his failings and Carroll has a lot to do with how the D runs. Won't be missed.

Cable (OL coach) and Bevell (OC) also expected to have someone come a calling and ask for permission to interview them.

Enjoy the next two days Redskin fans--this is the last two days you feel good about this year's team. After this, you'll only have the draft and 2013 regular season to look forward to because you're going to lose and it isn't going to be close.
Well, you are wrong about that. I'll feel good about this year's team even if they lose 73-0. They have shown perseverance and character in the playoff run that has been missing on this team for some time. They have a franchise QB for the first time since...Thiesmann? Jurgensen? Well, a long long time at any rate, and a dynamic, playmaker QB seems to be necessary for teams to have a shot at a title these days. Shanahan has proven to be adaptable at using his weapons (remember McNabb and his "Oh, they'll ruin that kid, trying to make him what he isn't just like did to me")and the skill at selecting players that work well in his designs that come cheap is still there. The Defense was horrible quite often, but somehow they only gave up over 30 points once after week 3. The roster has been turned over to a large extent, going from one of the oldest teams to one of the youngest over the last three years. Does all that mean the Skins will win Sunday? Of course not. The Vegas line seems pretty reasonable to me, and one thing I noticed early on this year is that even when the Skins lost, RGIII always made the final outcome close and the fourth quarter exciting (except for the Pittsburgh game). Maybe the Skins lose, maybe they win, but I bet they won't go quietly. And after 20 years of dreck teams and dreck play, that's plenty to get excited about for the future.

The Seahawks enter the playoffs with zero starters on injured reserve unless you count guard James Carpenter as a player Seattle was counting on. Nickel pass-rusher Jason Jones and nickel cornerback Walter Thurmond are the most prominent Seahawks on IR. The Redskins' IR list features starters Adam Carriker, Brian Orakpo, Fred Davis, Jammal Brown and Brandon Meriweather, plus nickel cornerback Cedric Griffin.
Imagine if the two teams were on a level playing field.
I love it. Start talking about the health of Griffin too. And whatever else you need to make yourself feel better at night. For the record, I was really liking you in this thread until now. You were probably the only confident Redskin fan but I see we're ready to start rolling out the excuses. I could point to our injuries as well but I suspect that is unimportant at this phase. And guess where we're playing! That's right. At Fed-Ex baby!!! The home of The Real 12th Man you ***hole!

You are TOTALLY right. Seahawks are BEST Defense Value Adjusted Dillhole Over Statisticals team in the last 27 YEARS!!1Poor Redskins. Whatever will they do?
Honestly, I am surprised that they are even playing the game. The Redskins must not understand statistics very well. They just don't understand football as well as the people on this board. They actually think thast you have to show up and play the game...pretty foolish if you ask me.

What he said. The best part of this is that if the redskins do win, then all these same overconfident posters will get on here whining about how they were robbed...you mark that down...they wlill not accept defeat gracefully. But I a.m not saying the skins are a lock to win. And its not because I am not confident in my team. Its because I respect the hawks as a worthy opponent. Hawk fans disrespecting the skins as a worthy opponent is not confidence, its arrogance, and also foolishness. Newsflassh to you guys, no one is impressed by your supposed bravado coming on here acting like stats guarantee victories, or acting like if you yell loudest that you're the best it makes you the best...it doesn't.Guess what geniuses, all year supposed experts have picked the redskins to be last in the division, 2 and 14 etc. But all their number crunching and analysis didn't make it so. The same is true with your brash chatter...it won't impact the game one bit.If the hawks do happen to win it will be because they take their opponent seriously...too bad the fans can't show an equal understanding of football.

Mike Rob is going to make Hall pay for this.

http://youtu.be/FV3BALXpD90?t=5m30s

Just bringing up Hall’s name seemed to get under Robinson’s skin on Thursday.

“I’m looking forward to Sunday to see him,” Robinson said.

The Seahawks had an honorary captain accompany them out for the coin toss that day. Hall’s language in front of the young girl was what prompted the reaction from Robinson.

“You got a little girl out here, you’ve got to watch your mouth man,” Robinson said. “You’re not going to come in my stadium and disrespect us like that. That’s kind of how it was and it went from there.”

Why wouldn't the Seahawks just beat/up the redskins the day it happened if it pissed them off so bad?

My completely unbiased opinion, as I'm obviously a fan of neither team.

When I close my eyes to picture how this game plays out, I see Washington moving the ball and I see Seattle struggling to move the ball.

(Sorry for getting so technical)

Yeah, it is a bit curious that the seahags let the redskins smack them around in their own house after such an insult.

Richard Sherman will make the Redskins pay for this BS comment by a clearly uneducated member of their team.

http://tinyurl.com/alj8j6w

ASHBURN, Va. — Washington Redskins linebacker Lorenzo Alexander was discussing whether Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman should be on the field for Sunday's NFC wild-card game after Sherman won his drug appeal on a technicality and had a four-game suspension overturned last week.

As Alexander spoke Friday, defensive tackle Kedric Golston leaned in from his adjacent locker and injected his opinion:

"He's a cheater,'' Golston said, then walked away.
Yep, I expect at least a few cheap shots.

Yeah, Rex Grossman lit up that vaunted defense for 17 points in the 4th quarter. But the seahawks must have let them score. I mean, according to the folks here, the seahawks are unbeatable.

Sherman did cheat and just got off on a technicality. He can be pissed like a little baby but someone just pointed out the truth. If he doesn't like it then stop taking PEDs.

What this thread needs is less stupid and more analysis. These numbers are interesting:

Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell said he counted nine all-out blitzes for Washington against Dallas in Week 17.

The Redskins collected a league-high 12 interceptions while blitzing during the regular season. Wilson, after struggling against pressure early in the season, has eight touchdown passes with no picks against five or more pass-rushers since Week 8. He has hit on six deep passes against five-plus rushers over that period, third most in the NFL. Deep passes are those traveling more than 20 yards past the line of scrimmage before the reception.
My linkWhat do the Redskins do to disguise their blitz?

I actually prefer it that way. Tuning into Mike & Mike and hearing Mike Greenberg declare the hawks are his pick to go to the superbowl and his adopted team makes me want to vomit. "Nobody Cares" is a huge part of a lot of Seahawk Fans schtick's. The closest NFL team to Seattle is ~800 miles away. Many of you probably can't even comprehend 800 miles...but its like driving from DC to Orlando.

I hope the Seattle football team responds Sunday like some of their supporters on this board. If so, here's how the game will go. The seahawks will come out very Tough and physical, trying to intimidate the redskins. Then the redskins will fight back. Then, instead of keeping their poise, the hawks will fall into self pity and defensiveness.

Some of you hawk fans can really talk but are kind of brittle when people fight back. Let's hope your unbeatable team has more resolve than that.

Well Skins fans, only a little more than 28 hours left until impending doom. This thread and the links shared in it truly educated me. I didn't realize how good Seattle is until all these friendly Seahawk fans taught me. This Seattle team makes the 85 Bears look like a bunch of sissies. 31-10 Seattle.

There is no "group of fans". If you have a specific beef with a particular poster address it, but don't get lazy and try to unjustly label an entire group.

Dude are u kidding me. Everyone is picking the hawks to win. They are the media darlings right now. All the pressure is on your team. If the skins lose its still a great season. If you all lose you blew a sure fire super bowl win. I love it. Advantage skins on this one.

Is that what you're doing? Fighting back? I've been reading around the internet recently and I've come to learn that Redskin fans hate Seattle fans for '05 and '07. It's strange to me because I have no feelings toward Redskin fans. You're just another team from the overhyped NFC East.Enjoy your next day--it will be your last of the season.

Point well taken...I'm really referring to prononjas thin skinned reply about credibility. I find it funny he tried to take some high ground. If he wants to talk smack then take it...don't act liker others are taking things too seriously. I am just pushing back and I find it amusing that I got to him. A lot of bullies and smack talkers are like that...when u fight back they get rattled. But your point is well taken...there are classy hawk fansd like you so I shouldn't generalize

I'll be here Sunday after the game to take my medicine if we lose. Will you? I doubt it. You are just mad someone is not rolling over and declaring u the winners before the game has even started. Too bad dude...
Oh, I'll be here when you lose. Trust me.I don't expect you to want the Seahawks to win. You simply refuse to see how much better of a team we are. Any given Sunday and all, but the fact that Redskins fans come on here and talk up your pathetic schedule and then think you should be favored is just blind homerism.

Redskin fans have a lot to look forward to with your young team. You just won't be looking forward to next weekend.

In response to proninja...lol coming from the most cocky smack talking group of fans on this board. I love it how you guys can talk smack but can't take it we hen people fight back. Weak.
There is no "group of fans". If you have a specific beef with a particular poster address it, but don't get lazy and try to unjustly label an entire group.
Thank you, sir. Super excited for the game. The stats have been turned over beyond to the point where its become a bit silly. Should be a good game. I can see it going either way.

:goodposting: Some day I'll be telling my grandchildren about this Seattle team and the day I got to see my favorite team get thrashed by them.

:goodposting: w/ exception to "young team". They are actually one of the older teams...hawks are one of the younger teams. http://tinyurl.com/b3r5jwcThe redskins sold the farm to get RGIII.... they better draft well with the picks they have or it won't be pretty.

Go back and look at my earlier posts. I consistently praise the sea hawk team and even said they deserved to be favored, based on their superior defense. So in terms of your team, I have much respect, believe me.Contrast that with comments like redskins will lose by 17, the game won't be close, London fletcher is an old man, griffin isn't in Wilson's level. Who has been more extreme, there is no comparison. It is these comments I am responding to...I hear them and my fighting instinct is up, that's all. As for your team...much respect. As for the fans dfialoge, I feel differently.

But I don't know u so honestly I have nothing against you personally ...or its or pro ninja or any poster. To me, its just smack talking on a message board...it ranks at the bottom of things I truly care about. I really don't take it too seriously and would gladly buy any of you guys a beer if we were out watching this game

Your actions contradict that statement. Why let proninja bother you...I can't see why any message board dudes comments would get you upset. There are just as many people on both sides that think their team will win. Don't act innocent.....thats weak.If you think your team will win, or you think they will win big....why not say it?

Its...u are dead wrong. I grew up playing sports and people often talk smack but don't really take it seriously. You know what I think...I think u guys thought u were just going to out yell everyone and you've been thrown by people not taking it. Too bad.

Plus, u guys are the ones predicting a blowout. All I did was basically tell u your comments don't impress anyone...sorry just deal with it

OK guys I am out of this thread until after the game. I'm sure well talk a lot more smack then. But before I go, let me just say that we did talk a lot of garbage and I acknowledge that in the heat of smack, I may have insulted some. So for that - and I mean this sincerely - I apologize. I am a passionate skins fan who likes to argue but I really do not wish to personally insult anyone...and I regret it if I did. OK guys...cool?

So have a good time everyone watching the game and I'll talk to you later. Go skins!

Between the pissing match on here and Twitter, can someone fill me in why the fans of these two teams are at each other's throats?
