Seattle @ Washington ... Pregame chatter (2 Viewers)

I can tell you if Seattle comes out flat or does not generate a pass rush, they will lose. That along with Truant and Lane are my biggest concerns.

Agree with you here. My gut tells me they don't blitz and sit back in a zone on passing downs.
I think that's what we want. The Redskins are actually the strongest team against the blitz. Besides, we want our beef up front forcing their runs outside where we have fast LBs to flow to the ball. Griffin is a 1-read QB so if he doesn't see it he'll take off. We just need to force him to take as many hits as possible with that gimpy knee.

Careful Seahawk fans, when the Sonic fans got too arrogant their team was taken from them. I wouldn't want to see that happen again to your town.

In response to proninja...lol coming from the most cocky smack talking group of fans on this board. I love it how you guys can talk smack but can't take it we hen people fight back. Weak.
There is no "group of fans". If you have a specific beef with a particular poster address it, but don't get lazy and try to unjustly label an entire group.
I probably shouldn't contribute to the problem by poking some of the particularly entertaining ones with a stick. Still can't believe anyone took that post of mine seriously.

Haha! Nobody cares about the seahawks. NOBODY!
I actually prefer it that way. Tuning into Mike & Mike and hearing Mike Greenberg declare the hawks are his pick to go to the superbowl and his adopted team makes me want to vomit. "Nobody Cares" is a huge part of a lot of Seahawk Fans schtick's. The closest NFL team to Seattle is ~800 miles away. Many of you probably can't even comprehend 800 miles...but its like driving from DC to Orlando.
Dude are u kidding me. Everyone is picking the hawks to win. They are the media darlings right now. All the pressure is on your team. If the skins lose its still a great season. If you all lose you blew a sure fire super bowl win. I love it. Advantage skins on this one.
:goodposting:

I think you're mistaking the "can't take it when people fight back" with "talk even better smack when the Redskin faithful try to comeback with their weak-### trash talk".

Curious, are all the Seahawks are the most well rounded team in tourney/dvoa guys putting skin on the hawks to win the Super Bowl? 9-1 odds is some pretty decent coin, and doesn't seem like a completely ludicrous gamble....

Anyone?

All the pressure is on RGIII. He has been the chosen media darling since day one. I love it.... not much is expected from Russell Wilson. Thats the perfect position to be in. If the Skins lose...its all on RGIII.

Is that what you're doing? Fighting back? I've been reading around the internet recently and I've come to learn that Redskin fans hate Seattle fans for '05 and '07. It's strange to me because I have no feelings toward Redskin fans. You're just another team from the overhyped NFC East.

Enjoy your next day--it will be your last of the season.
Don't rile up the hen people! :)

Amazingly brave...For you guys getting riled up by the above fellas bravado, both of my last two posts/questions and the responses (or lack there of) should tell you all you need to know about the makeup.

I didn't add it up but I think the Shark Pool favorite for NFC champion is the Seahawks per that pick thread. There's quite a few Seahawks vs Patriots picks too.

Reason 1Reason 2

I imagine that 2 playoff losses to Seattle stick in the Skins fans' minds plus maybe the surge (that fell short, imo) of Wilson for ROY in the second half of the season as well as feeling disrespected as a division winning, game hosting underdog. Also, the teams don't like each other, largely due to Hall being a completely foul mouthed dooshbag in front of a teenage girl at the cointoss at last year's Skins victory in Seattle (as well as in pretty much every game he's ever been in).

I don't care about the Skins fanbase nor about the Skins themselves. Pretty much neutral on them and don't blame any of them for this thread (see reason 1). If anything they're the team I'd rather win the division because the Cowboys and Eagles are very low on my list of likeable teams.

I have money on Seattle already at 30:1, but I set that in May. I don't think the lack of answers to your question is really indicative of anything though. Not everyone bets.

Seriously??But the Seahawks are the dark horse! They are like the Giants last year! Russell Wilson is rookie of the year! Their defense is dominant! No one can stop Seattle! You're kidding yourself if you say all the pressure is on RG3. All those statements above are all I've heard from this forum and the media the last few weeks. All the pressure is on Seattle. They are expected to win. I can't wait to see this thread when they choke.

Wow, that's huge odds, good luck, not out of the question. And yea, it kinda does. My first q was in regards to the hall incident from last year being mentioned in this thread (truthfully hadn't heard about it prior). My question was why would the hawks players be talking about it this week when they had that day to take care of putting skins in their place. Crickets...And as for the bet q, if I was so convinced a team was far superior to all others and would shout it from the rooftops while also getting 9-1 odds on it, I don' care if you've never bet before, you GOTTA put some money where your mouth is (like you did) because at that point its practically "free money". To respond to that referencing some other thread....I mean come on....its embarrassing.

Can't answer the first question; not sure it matters really.Second question: I don't gamble so I don't really think through any gambling related questions. I suppose if I had the opportunity (like if I were in Vegas) I'd throw down some money but I honestly don't need to win money to be excited about a Seahawks victory. It would be weird if that is what motivated me to root for my team. If that's what makes it interesting to you, have at it.

Rob did take care of it....that is why a skirmish broke out at/during the coin flip. If you watch the video though you see Lynch run in and pull dudes away... Tate try's to start something with some big Oline guy...but all in all the ref's and coaching staff did a great job of breaking it up (as they usually do ... isn't hockey).

Why did it get brought up? Media was in there bringing it up and Mike Rob responded. So I hope that answers your question, I figured it was pretty obvious but if you need someone to hold your hand I can do so. Clearly Mike Rob doesn't like people who swear in front of little girls so he is holding a grudge. The whole team wasn't offended, just Rob and probably a few others (im guessing). Can't say I think you should be dropping F' bombs in front of some girl who is the "honorary coin toss" person for the game.....probably better saved for during the game. Regardless..... it was pretty classless by Hall.

Outside of fantasy football I don't gamble. Even if Im in Vegas you won't see me put a single nickle into a slot machine. There are plenty of fans that do not gamble. Not sure I understand where you are coming from with those comments.

That said, again, the bravado in this thread...without skin of your own, is just porch puppy'ish, period. As for the bolded....scroll up man :) . It's in the responses you are responding too!

And the hall thing is kinda ####ty by hawks. I like a lot of what the hawks do. I didn't mind sherman showing Brady up (though if they see Brady in bowl...I'd rather piss Brady off in last game, not regular season game). I don't mind being confident and showing it (if you are a man in the trenches, not a loud mouth fan). But the hawks should not mention that hall incident this week like they did, and nor should their fans, as motivation this week.

That's like a man punching your wife in the face, then asking you if you want to fight and you said no. Then one year later telling everyone how you can't wait to run into him again....not very legion of boom'ish.

Let me be clear, not a skins homer, don't hate the hawks (have lived in fan radius of both). Would love to see either win it all really, great for league.

Am noticing some deep seeded weakness in some loud mouths though...

Am curious, do any of us spectators actually know verbatim what was said during that coin toss? Hall is a loud mouth punk, fully agree, but during coin toss??? I am guessing it was equal parts douchebagery, especially since they let hall stay out and receive the coin flip no?And I'm sure if mike rob was so passionate about protecting the kids he coulda had a chat with hall during the offseason if you catch my drift...

They didn't play the game? It's like getting beaten in the fight and wanting a rematch. Not seeing how you arrive at "saying no".eta: seemed like the two questions were just an extended single question. An argument could be made that they are the most complete, but I haven't watched Denver play much this season so I can't compare them. Stats and rankings for the season won't tell the story because we're talking about the team right now. Defensively Seattle has been there all year and with 170 over the last 4 games, offensively they are obviously up there now too.

I'd love to see a hawks broncos bowl (if both teams are playing there best football they've showed this year). And yea, figured you guys would jump on the no thing....yes, their wife got punched and then they got beat up too. Correction noted. Still seems weak to me, it's the one thing I've seen the hawks respond to that seems weak while trying to act tough....Wilson wouldn't get caught in that media trap....that's why fullbacks shouldn't be interviewed :)

 So if RGIII plays well but the Skins lose it will all fall onto him?

per brandon browner on NFL network. "yeah he [moss] was a little chippy [last game], so if he wants to get smacked around we got no problem smacking that dude around."

I'll be here Sunday after the game to take my medicine if we lose. Will you? I doubt it. You are just mad someone is not rolling over and declaring u the winners before the game has even started. Too bad dude...
Oh, I'll be here when you lose. Trust me.I don't expect you to want the Seahawks to win. You simply refuse to see how much better of a team we are. Any given Sunday and all, but the fact that Redskins fans come on here and talk up your pathetic schedule and then think you should be favored is just blind homerism.

Redskin fans have a lot to look forward to with your young team. You just won't be looking forward to next weekend.
I don't recall one Redskin fan suggesting they should be favored. Several Seattle fans have said they Seahawks should be favored by 17. Seattle (-3) is pretty much where the line should be IMO.

I think you confuse Media Darling with DC excited that they have a Franchise QB. Try to wrap your mind around the fact that The Redskins haven't had that since Theisman. I also don't think there is much pressure on Wilson or Griffin. They have surpassed all expectations from both of their teams by far, either one (or both) could throw up complete clunkers tomorrow and both teams have reasons to be excited and ready for next year.

Griffin is not a 1-read QB.

Actually....that is primarily what he has been this year. Thats not a knock...just what they have asked him to do and he has done it well.

All the pressure is on RGIII. He has been the chosen media darling since day one. I love it.... not much is expected from Russell Wilson. Thats the perfect position to be in. If the Skins lose...its all on RGIII.
Has G3 really surpassed expectations? I haven't seen anything but highlights until basically last week, but for a Heisman winner and the very costly trade (2 1sts) that put the Skins at #2 to get him, shouldn't ROY finalist (and presumptive winner) be exactly what was expected of him? I'm not trying to take him down at all, but this is pretty much where he needs to be IMO with the price paid and the hype coming in for him. Wilson obviously way above expectation since few expected him to play at all, much less vie for ROY (a distant second, imo).Morris however, massively over expectations. Beating out Lynch in rushing and TDs (though I think BeastMode has him in combined yards and TDs) in a Shanny system that hasn't really leaned on just one back since TD it seems.

Yes I think Griffin has been spectacular as a rookie fueling a turnaround in DC and getting the entire team behind him, I don't recall any rookie ever being made a Team Captain.
