Big fan of Lip this season, kid has real acting chops, hope he can make it in the biz after this show is over. I seriously fast forward every Debbie scene now, her and her 12 year old friends are tough to listen to. That whole subplot with the 20 year old is complete garbage not sure why they went back to that, we could have had more screen time for Carl who is killing it as well this season.

 
I'm more of a fan of the scenes surrounding Frank and Kev as they are never too drama filled. There were a few scenes in the last episode (such as Fiona's facial expression in the sentencing scene) which seemed too heavy for the show.

Best scenes:

any with Kev;

breaking into Shiela's house;

Mickey going to the bar - knew he was going to give that guy a beat-down;

scene with Lip's roommates gf - need to see more of her naked (giggity);

Mickey's wife/gf walking into and out of Mickey's room when Ian was passed out on the bed.

Wonder how Cameron Monaghan (Ian) is taking his weak character play. Hey guys, can't you give me anything better than acting drugged out. You better make this up to me.

 
I'm really liking this season. I'm trying to find something to complain about, but I'm having trouble.

Knowing Deb ain't having sex makes her scenes watchable. I do miss Fionna's boyfriend for some reason. I feel like he added a moral compass to the show. Although I'm glad he cut Fionna off after what she did.

I'd think Monaghan is fine with it. Coked out gay stripper is probably some nice work to have on a resume. Along with storyline I assume is to follow.

Especially after seasons of playing the fairly straight-laced, responsible guy.

I thought the whole scenario of him leaving coke there, Fiona doing coke (which I don't think we've ever seen before), and then Liam getting into it was just so implausible. I think the show's a lot stronger with Fiona at a stable job, resolving the tension with the boyfriend, etc. Ehh, I dunno. Other than that, I think the season's been fine.

 
Didn't realize there was not a new episode this week...True Detective must have blinded me, but was there a reason no episode this week?

Still, to keep up with my Monday routine I'm re-watching the last episode. Lip's roomates GF is smoking hot, smoldering actually. I could see her character becoming Lip's next chick...the one that gets his shizz together, while showing plenty of good girl T n A...

Feel bad for Lip's roommate though, as it seems obvious Lip will be balling his girl out as soon as the next episode. She was out of his(roommate) league anyways. Nice slow introduction to her character by the sham less writers...when she was first introduced she was cast as a bitggg, and now she looks amazing.

Lip will be banging her. Other than that I'm not sure where this season is going.

Pissed V is pre go...she was my fav chick on the show.

Very good new episode - Frank's speech on bullying had me rolling! Think the rest of the season will be the redemption of Fiona.

Yeah, the bullying speech made that whole ridiculous ordeal worth it.

I don't have kids in school, but I assume the punishment for beating the hell out of half the school isn't a group apology.

Yeah, I was envisioning how her bewbs would look in the subsequent sex scene but they cheated us out of that. She probably wouldn't sign a nudity waiver or something, because this show has no problem showing sex scenes when it fits the narrative

That scene was awesome. Had to love the kids who were bullied nodding their heads.

Your kids will be doctors and my son here will be cleaning the garbage pails. No offense intended son. Now that's classic.

Girl had probably three lines. Unless she turns into a semi-regular (which I can't imagine happening, seems like the roommate's girlfriend will hang around), they should have found someone else.

That being said, I could have worked with a mostly clothed version of her getting railed.

 
Nice to see the show dropping in the ol' Virginia Gentleman maneuver. That's always fascinated me.

I knew a guy in college that did this for 2 years. Didn't know there as anything odd about it all until he told us, and we were all in the floor in fits of laughter.

Lip's roommate is a Virginia Gentleman.

He does his girlfriend the honor of ####### her in the butt so she can remain a virgin and a respectable young lady.

 
I liked that episode overall, but I'm so over Sheila. I think I've been over her since Season 1. I would ask they reasoning behind the need to marry Frank to adopt someone else's kids, but I just don't care.

 
Another great episode....Frank's surgery and "Dr." had me rolling....glad he has a chance to get a new liver because the show is best with everything revolving around him (except Sheila - time to move on!).

Very surprised that Fiona went down even further - is it rock bottom yet?

How many more eps left?

She's definitely hit rock bottom.

 
For some reason I thought this last episode was the finale the entire time I was watching. Thought we were being left with a massive cliffhanger. Glad to see it's not the case.

I have never been a fan of Sheila's either, but for some reason her role two episodes ago felt good to me.

Quite a bit of the last two shows seemed contrived.

No idea where they are going with some of these characters. Having the young son paired with that little girl is way off the charts.

Nice to see the play on the roommate and his GF. Love the gratuitous boob shot and her OCD. Curious to see where they go with that.

I had the last few episodes of the season on my DVR and finally got around to watching them. This was my least favorite season by far (which explains why I was in no hurry to watch the DVR'd episodes) but I thought the finale was very good and hopefully gets the show back on track.

I've long voiced my displeasure of Sheila. I was really hoping when she left she'd stay away for good. Sadly ...

Frank being an invalid for an entire season was a really bad idea in my opinion. It pretty much rendered him useless most of the time. Huge waste of Macy's talent.

Fiona turned into such a raging POS I couldn't stand to watch her. Glad she seemingly is back to being Fiona again.

I never cared all that much for Carl but the little juvenile has grown on me. I felt bad for the kid when his girl split town on him.

Micky cracks me up. He's become one of the better characters on the show. His wife sporting a strap-on was outstanding. :lmao:

I was spoiled to the finale twist on Twitter (thanks Emmy Rossum) but it doesn't bother me. Interested to see where they go with it.

 
Just finished this season last night.

This season's Fiona sucked. She's a recreational drug user yet the writers are trying to make everyone treat her like she's a hardcore meth addict.

Mickey's character was probably the best thing about this season. His quips and one-liners were top notch.

Ian was being a #### to Mickey about not coming out. I thought it was inappropriate to do that especially considering what happened when his dad caught them #######.

Carl was also awesome this season "maybe that's your real mom".

Please stop with the "Deb wants to have sex" story line. Especially anything that has to do with her taking her top off. Christ.

Jimmy/Steve being written back into the story is a cop out.

I hope this upcoming season is the last. I enjoyed the show during its run, but serials don't seem to age well past 5-6 seasons.
