Shark Pool Mock Draft - #1 (1 Viewer)

I don't mind Fisher over Joeckel, but I think you screwed up following that with OL in the second. This team is in serious need of an infusion of talent on the defense, especially the secondary. 3 of your first 4 picks were offense and 2 of them are probably backups AT LEAST for next season, maybe more.
He only made the first two picks. I made the 3rd one and it was a bit of board consensus on the 4th.

missed Manuel but there are 2 other QBs I like almost as much in Scott & Bray but not here. Thought about taking another olb , combine darling from UGA Cornelious Washington.

Jets in the 4th will take Knile Davis RB Ark

I'm more concerned with his fumbling issues than health but the risk/reward in the 4th is too great to pass on.

edit:sorry for small text , picking on my phone

Well my critique is OL, OL. Jason Peter, Todd Herremans and Jason Kelce will be returning from injury this year. Add in Evan Mathis who was one of the top guards in the NFL last year and you have 1 spot open on the starting OL. Herremans can slide to guard if you take Fisher/Joekel or he could stay at RT if you select a guard round 2. But to go OT, OG seems foolish to me when you could probably fill those spots via FA and as I said before, the Eagles don't really have any secondary players (unless you count Asomugha who wasn't very good last year).

Carrying forward the board to this page.

4.12 - New Orleans selects Shamarko Thomas, S - Syracuse

Playmaker in the secondary is a major need for the worst defense in the league. Thomas is nice value here. An All Big East selection, he dominated at the combine as well.

Saints picks:

1.16 - Ezekial Ansah, OLB

3.16 - Justin Pugh, OT

4.12 - Shamarko Thomas, S

Lol at EJ Manuel. Glad I could nail the first two for my beloved team. :bye: :banned:
Yeah. I don't know how we'd have been able to slot Eric Fisher to them without you.
Most wouldn't have taken him or backed it up with Warford. Now that someone blew a pick on Manuel we'll need all the O-Line we can get. Don't take it personal it's just a mock.
Nonsense.
You think Fisher over Joeckel was a common thing?

Warford will be a stud and I'm not a huge fan of Mathis. Way too many questions with guys coming back and implementing a new O. San Fran did the same thing with their first two in 2010 and that worked out well. If you're not solid up front nothing works. We can easily shore up DB's in FA. The front 7 has 3 or 4 studs already.

3 or 4 studs on the front 7? Fletcher Cox is all I can come up with.

With 14th pick in 4th round, Miami Dolphins select Jon Bostic, LB FLA

Also please add our Terron Armstead 3rd round pick to running total. He got lost :)

Cox, Kendricks and Graham will be great in a 3-4. Curry and Ryans also have good potential.

Ha Ha, I knew you were gonna try and say Graham. He's currently dropping weight to TRY and become an OLB in a 3-4. As of now, we have no idea if he can even play pass coverage. Kendricks right now is gonna get eaten alive as an ILB in a 3-4, he just is way too inconsistent a tackler. And Curry is a bigger question mark then Graham. Ryans, you mean DeMeco Ryans? The guy was traded in part because his effectiveness was limited in a 3-4 after Houston made the switch, it's not a good scheme for him. Fletcher Cox is the only guy I can confidently say will flourish in a 3-4.

Cowboys select Andre Ellington RB- Clemson
Right position. And right state in which the college is located. :)I'll repeat the Marcus Lattimore to the Cowboys has Jerry written all over it. But whatever, its just a mock.
They may do that. I'm treating this like how I would draft. Trying to predict what Dallas would actually do would make my head hurt.I wouldn't mind Lattimore, but I think they need someone that can contribute right away.

Steelers select Le'Veon Bell, RB, Michigan St.

Steelers desperately need a workhorse back that can move the chains and handle 300+ carries without putting the ball on the ground. Bell is a great size/speed specimen who moves very well for carrying 240 lbs. Just feels like a Steelers-type RB.

Of course, if the rumored move to the ZBS and renewed emphasis on speed turns out to be more than rumors, they could be looking for a different type of back, but with Mendenhall and Dwyer likely gone, I think they need a bruiser. Ellington might have been the pick if Dallas hadn't just taken him, but that would require re-signing Redman and/or Dwyer, and I don't know yet if that's going to happen. As of right now, they have 1 back under contract and he is coming off an injury (Baron Batch) so at this juncture, they need someone who can eat carries more than a 3rd down type speedster.

:thumbup:I like it

I think this one fits pretty well:

Giants - David Bakhtiari, OT - Colorado

The Gints like versastile linemen and he can play every position.

I know just the guy for the Bengals here...Cincinnati - Ryan Swope, WR - Texas A&M
I hope so. A lot of talk about his 4.34 40, but from the drills, I saw a guy that let almost every single ball into his chest. Maybe it was a bad day, but he was one of the least natural hands-catchers I have ever seen.

Tough break for the Bengals that they missed on Bray here. I think they've got to get a backup QB here somewhere.

Was just about to make a pick for the Colts there, Bamac...

Indianapolis - Keith Pough, OLB - Howard

They need to get some sort of pass rush in there.

meyerj31 said to pick for him so...

Packers - Brian Schwenke, C - California

He can actually play either guard or center.
