If LA Jockstrap passes on him, takes a corner, and comes back with Felix, I will... I dunno know I'll do, but it won't be good. The Toe is scaring off a lot of teams.

I'll take the Bills. You mind?I agree. Especially when the brain is mine. I just took them to move it along. If anyone wants to take the Bills, they're welcome to it.It doesn't matter to me. I just asked because I think it's possible to have too many teams in a draft. Too many choices coming from one brain.
It was a Freddie Mitchell moment for me. j/k JP. I like Sweed more than most and figured you were debating WRs. It is the most difficult debate this year. I think Thomas goes first in the end because of his combination of skills.I would figure that if you take a receiver, Jackson or Devin would also be a boon to the special teams. I don't really follow the Eagles but I thought that's been a sticking point the last few years.Any thoughts or comments on this pick?Wasn't easy at all.
I'll take the Bills. I know nothing about them so it will be fun to get a crash course on this team.I agree. Especially when the brain is mine. I just took them to move it along. Wow. You JUST beat me to it. I think it's obvious you should probably take them based on where you make your home.I'll take the Bills. You mind?I agree. Especially when the brain is mine. If someone wants to finish the Pats, that's fine with me. I said as much earlier in the thread.Wow. You JUST beat me to it. You sure you don't mind? I had a half-day today and have nothing for the remainder of the day. I have some players in mind already. Thanks.Wow. You JUST beat me to it. I don't have a problem with Sweed in this spot. WR is certainly a need and you can make a a case for Sweed being the best WR available. That said, add me to the Phillips supporters. I think his value is a little more in line with the draft position and it's a position of concern if not need for the Eagles.Any thoughts or comments on this pick?Wasn't easy at all.Jeffrey Lurie has picked up the phone and broken the tie.Despite their best efforts to acquire a true #1 WR in the off-season, they haven't. So they're going for broke this season and hopefully giving McNabb another weapon that he's been missing.Reid =Banner =Andy Reid is sitting on Joe Banner right now![]()

Given that no huge values at O-Line or DT or DB fell, and some others will be there later, the guess here is the #1 WR on their Draft Board. That's anyone's guess. I'll go with:
Limas Sweed, WR, Texas
I'm good.......already picking for Tennessee. You sure you don't mind? I had a half-day today and have nothing for the remainder of the day. I have some players in mind already. Thanks.Wow. WR RunI’m probably jumping a bit early on this guy, but Washington need a WR and this guys a mountain. 6ft-7 screams red zone. He has the pace to outrun most defenses and has a great leap and good hands.1. Miami (Gatorman) - Chris Long

I can't speak for coolnerd, but I think Rivers is a BPA type pick. I think a LT or a passrushing DE are the targets but the way this mock played out there isn't a lot of value there at 18. Rivers is projected as a top 10 pick and the top OLB in this draft. OLB isn't listed as a major need for the Texans, but that's only because there are so many needs at a lot of spots.Pairing up Rivers with pro-bowler ILB DeMeco Ryans would be a very nice combination.I love the Jenkins pick to Arizona. They've moved Rolle to FS so there's a definite need there. The Vikings and Texans guys will be back later today to comment. I'm okay with Merling to the Vikes even with the hernia issue. He's not the elite pass rusher the Vikes need, but then there aren't any of them left at this point in the draft.1. Miami (Gatorman) - Chris Long

This is the second mock that I've seen someone have the Texans taking Keith Rivers. Do they have their eye on him? I think he'd be an excellent choice as the Texans are slowly building what could be a dominant defense. The o-line is still a wreck though.
The part that sucks is that every guy I zero in on for them goes through the roof afterwards. I was calling for Otah months ago when he was still considered a 2nd-3rd round prospect, now I've seen mocks putting him as high as #5. Then, the talk switched to Albert and I didn't know all that much about him, his being an underclassman, and my not having seen much VA football. I went nuts researching the guy and realized he'd be a perfect fit, and probably a better pick than Otah. Now, his stock has taken off to where he's gone from a late first-early second round guy to a possible top-10 pick.I like the Steelers pick. They need o-line help in the worst way, which is amazing for a contender.

I'm tired of everyone locking Tennessee to a WR in the 1st and I'm not a huge fan of this WR class, especially at the top. Tennessee never picks a WR in the 1st round and the times the Titans struggled most last year was when Haynesworth was hurt. I was ecstatic to see Stewart available with my pick; everyone has their own opinions, but I think he is the best overall back in the class, based on his size/speed ratio and his ability to break tackles. Why would I take a lesser back (Jones, Charles...) because he would complement Barber better? Let's say you're the Rams and have Stephen Jackson. You have the choice to select either Reggie Bush or Adrian Peterson in the upcoming draft. Do you take Bush because his running style and skill set furthers from Jackson more than that of Peterson; I don't.I'm also a huge Marion Barber fan, but there is something going on if in the last 3 years, he has only had 4 20-carry games with Julius Jones as his main competition. If McKelvin or DRC had been available, I would have taken either over Stewart. I do feel like I got the BPA with this pick.If anything, take a guy to compliment Barber. Stewart is too similar I thinkI still don't get the rush to take a back for the Cowboys. Why is Barber so underrated?Exactly my thinking.Heading to lunch. Be back in an hour.
As a Cowboys homer I would be ok with this pick but a bit bummed that we didn't go with Kenny Phillips here. He is my "wish" pick for #22. That said Stewart looks to be a great back and they can get a db nex... I hope.I still don't get the rush to take a back for the Cowboys. Why is Barber so underrated?22. NopeAre trades allowed in this?
Stew is a solid pick. His talent warrants a first roudn grade, unlike the remaining backs. Definitely could have argued Kenny Philips or Devon Thomas. For those who say he's Thunder and Thunder when paired with Barber, you're right. And that's exactly what Dallas wants. They've stated that they want guys like Barber who can run inside, outside, catch, and, perhaps most importantly, BLOCK. Stew has the size to pick up the blitzing LB and keep Romo alive. This facet of the game is ultra critical to Dallas.I will say that I'm personally worried about Stew's toe. The guy has a significant injury history beyond just the toe as well. I'd be happy to get Stew, but he does worry me.I was ecstatic to see Stewart available with my pick; everyone has their own opinions, but I think he is the best overall back in the class, based on his size/speed ratio and his ability to break tackles. I love the Stewart pick for Dallas. They have 1 RB on the roster right now. They are a championship caliber team and need the running game to stay strong. I am not interested in some later round maybe who ,ight carry the weight for Barber until he healed if he went down. They are not championship caliber without him. He is best used in committee anyway. With Stewart, they barely miss a beat without Barber and are that much stronger with him. They don't need roster depth as much as they need a baller to go with Barber, though they could consider two RBs in this draft for depth. Stewart also represents BaP, which is what Dallas should do with the first of two first rounders if someone like this falls in an area of need.I honestly would be shocked if Stewart got past Zona...If anything, take a guy to compliment Barber. Stewart is too similar I thinkI still don't get the rush to take a back for the Cowboys. Why is Barber so underrated?Exactly my thinking.Heading to lunch. Be back in an hour.
Love the pick, although DE is possible as well. VDB/Balmer/Haynesworth/Kearse makes for a nice front. I'll be shocked if the Titans don't take a WR in the 2nd, but I like this pick here.I'm tired of everyone locking Tennessee to a WR in the 1st and I'm not a huge fan of this WR class, especially at the top. Honestly, I have nothing to add to this analysis, becasue it captures my thoughts exactly. In this case GregR, you could and did speak for me.Buckna said:I can't speak for coolnerd, but I think Rivers is a BPA type pick. I think a LT or a passrushing DE are the targets but the way this mock played out there isn't a lot of value there at 18. Rivers is projected as a top 10 pick and the top OLB in this draft. OLB isn't listed as a major need for the Texans, but that's only because there are so many needs at a lot of spots.Pairing up Rivers with pro-bowler ILB DeMeco Ryans would be a very nice combination.Andy Dufresne said:I love the Jenkins pick to Arizona. They've moved Rolle to FS so there's a definite need there. The Vikings and Texans guys will be back later today to comment. I'm okay with Merling to the Vikes even with the hernia issue. He's not the elite pass rusher the Vikes need, but then there aren't any of them left at this point in the draft.Andy Dufresne said:1. Miami (Gatorman) - Chris Long

This is the second mock that I've seen someone have the Texans taking Keith Rivers. Do they have their eye on him? I think he'd be an excellent choice as the Texans are slowly building what could be a dominant defense. The o-line is still a wreck though.
As for the O'line, they surrendered only 22 sacks last year! 6th best in the league, so there has been some very improved play there and Gibbs should help strenghten it further. A franchise LT to replace Salaam is needed though since he is only passable and is 32 years old this year. Also, I question how much of the improved play was due to combinations of getting rid or Carr and running an offense that required very quick timing and release with short patterns. There wasn't a lot of times where Sage or Schaub could just hang back in the pocket and try to throw it deep.
I actually would prefer to draft Groves or Talib here. But I am not sold on the Jaguars claim that they will draft the best available player in round 1. I've seen it in round 2 and up. After weiging input from 147, Campbell is who I think they take.Damn, worst case scenario for the Jags. I'd advocate Groves over Campbell any day of the week but I don't really feel confident in either pick. I'd definately prefer acquiring Jason Taylor for the right price, but Miami will leverage more and more as the draft approaches. He'd be the centerpiece of our draft and allow any rookies a chance to develop a full season and learn from a pro's pro in Spicer and Taylor. He'd also allow us to pursue a BAP approach without Mortagaing one of our first 4 picks for a DE. I don't think a Round1 DE will be a good idea in the long run. I'd rather go DB/LB/DT for our first pick and/or second pick and grab talent instead of reaching. But thats for Brownstone to decide![]()
