Shark Tank on ABC (1 Viewer)

I was  when they gave the retail price of $350 I think it was for the personal a/c which was a cooler with a hose. That's a cool idea for avid campers but who the hell would spend that much?? If you're outdoorsy, heat doesn't bother you much and if it does, you stay home until it cools down enough. Other than camping, I can't imagine anyone taking it to the ball park. Where is the room for it?
Seemed obvious to me to make the one big hose have different attachments of multiple smaller hoses or ways to disperse the cool air to a wider area
Someone brought up how it's one cooler per person. They said you can turn the hose and it'll take care of a couple of people or so. I guess like a fire hose. The bra idea was genious too. The lady drove me nuts with her talking over her hubby. I don't have the bouncies right now with these rock solid, and I mean rock solid, tissue expanders and with perm implants coming at years end, I don't anticipate having bouncies then either otherwise I would have ordered 1. The only good thing about breast cancer...
Wow, didn't realize you were fighting cancer. Hope everything is going ok considering.
Thanks. Ok as I can be sitting at stage III hoping that the suspicious lung nodule doesn't put me at stage IV. It's been quite the ride, and I'm only 1/2way through active treatments. :)
we're rooting for you... keep your chin up
Thank you, appreciate it. :)

Growing up and now living again in South Florida, the cooler with the AC is a terrific idea, HOWEVER I doubt I could part with $350. It was really awesome and the parking lot at Dolphin stadium likely would pay for itself in that place. Even at the beach you just jump in the ocean to cool off. It is silly hot down here and the humidity makes it unpleasant to camp out much.

The sports bra was genius. Wife spends a fortune on them and has tried a ton of the sports lines and they all suck. Also ladies' weights can fluctuate and the ability to adjust the size is definitely something that is not present in that industry. They were smart to team with Damon. Wife ordered one immediately.

Still love this show
Let us know if the bra is all that it's cracked up to be. I know this is a big struggle especially for big breasted women.

Season 8 with all the sharks premiered tonight. Anyone watching this season?
the beer thing didn't seem worth that much money.

8 seasons in...I dunno...I like the show, but the ideas all seem similar. like the soup thing. another delivery/gift service. feels like I've seen a bunch of those.

I wouldn't mind them getting geekier. really dive into one pitch, their numbers, valuation, etc for the hour.

The reaction of all the sharks with the beer gadget seemed like it was well worth it. A bottled beer that's eh was wow to them. $200 for it, I think it'll sell very well esp after 2 sharks being in on it.

I was very impressed with the Rethink gal. Wow. 16 and she writes code and speaks better than many adults? I'm glad Cubes and Lori are going to help her.

The problem with getting geekier is it needs to remain balanced or it'll lose viewers. Most people watching this show are not geeks, and showing too much of the valuation, numbers and such will bore too many people.

well I ain't spendin' no 2 bills to make my PBR tallboys pour into a glass, I'll tell you what.

IMO this show is is not what it once was. I really don't like it much more.

In the beginning, people would come on asking for 60K or somewhere in that vicinity, for a start up company

hoping to get off the ground, I think in the last episode, people came on asking for, 300k,400k,600k and 1 million.

I want to see small companies, inventions, and whatnot.trying to make it.

I see they are still one of the most watched shows, so someone is still watching. As for me, I think I'm out.

Actually, it's funnier to see people overvalue themselves. I like this show. The potato epi last Fri was funny as hell.

Still watch the show and find it interesting. It has lost some of its luster though now that you have bigger and more established businesses on. Was cool to see the smaller businesses with new ideas and products and the why didn't I think of that factor. Now it's already established businesses already making 1-2 million dollars and looking to get bigger. Not as much appeal but still fun to watch.

P.S. I am kinda tired of the food products though. If it's cupcakes, BBQ sauce or Big Momma's mozarella sticks it's the same story.

Not all. We still get the we don't have any sales which is a waste of time because you know no one will invest in it. I like a balance which the show seems to have.

Robert was the keynote at a conference I was attending last week.  Actually a very good speaker.  Some good Shark stories.  Said each one of those presentations goes on for up to 2 hours and they only film 7 minutes.  Best investment he has made was the ugly Christmas sweaters.   600K in sales, now something like 17M.

A sales rep who worked for me quit to start a company called SquareKeg. Idea was that square saved space, it was stackable and could make smaller versions to fit in a fridge, golf cart etc. He was on Shark Tank last night. Tim delivered a great presentation. Many sharks were interested in what it might do for storing wine. In the end he got $300K from Mr. Wonderful for 20%. Very cool!

It is a neat idea. His presentation was very good.

His is square, which is innovative, but there are lots of competitors, UKeg being the biggest. It's a niche market, I hope he does well.
