Uh, search function? Multiple previous threads?
Wow, what a suprise. You doing this again?
You're a toad with little reading comprehension skills. That's from over a week ago and was a complete joke in response to the other guy's posts. Why don't you take your hard on for me to your favorite alternative lifestyle bar and take it out on someone else. And quit muddying up threads while compaining about me muddying up threads.

Relax. I found a good Alexander article, searched for an Alexander thread, and posted it. I bumped this thread.Do you think the article has any merit? I was surprised to see that Seattle dropping Alexander after the season wouldn't be a huge cap hit. I'm thinking he's toast when the season is over.
I saw this article today too - a very good piece. yeah that surprised me as well. But it would still surprise me if he gets cut in the offseason. I think Holmgren still believes that if healthy Shaun can be the RB. Now, if they have a chance to get someone else either by free agency or by draft then I could see them cutting Shaun. Holmgren doesn't strike me as a coach that wants to develop a RB at this stage of his tenure with the Hawks.

I don't like the writer. He throws an awful lot of his own specualation into his blogs and articles. So I don't know how insightful the article is. The only thing I take from his writings are the facts, not his conclusions. The fact that SA's cap/salary hit next year is so small is very interesting though.

OUT for Sunday

Shaun Alexander is not going to play on Sunday, Mo Morris starting at RB. Mike Holmgren said he told Alexander that until he can put in a full week of practice he is not going to play him. So if Shaun is there next Wednesday, he has a shot against the Rams. Otherwise, no go. Holmgren said he thinks Alexander is close.

thanks for this

also, must be some new record, even with the henry threads, of having 5 of 7 SA/MM threads on the first page, impressive.

Really amazing considering whoever starts won't walk away with more than 80 total yards and 0 TDs.

With as many RB's as are hurt, knowing that one will start is a huge thing these days.

A guy could easily own LJ, Henry, Lynch and Ahman Green and kill for any guy that will start right now.

Yep, Morris is starting. I found this snippet on si.com:

"KIRKLAND, Wash. (AP) -- Shaun Alexander will not play for the Seattle Seahawks until he's healthy enough to practice full time.

"We had a talk, and I told him until he can practice the whole week, until he can have a normal week of practice I'm not going to put him on the field," coach Mike Holmgren said after Friday's practice that Alexander watched in sweats.

"I tried to explain that running backs -- you need to be able to do what you do, and if you're worried about an injury or something is sore and you can't make your cuts, you're really open to more injury. I'm not going to put him on the field until he can do what he does. He appreciated that."

Holmgren wouldn't officially say Alexander is "out" for Sunday's game against Chicago, but did say that backup Maurice Morris would get his second straight start. Morris had 28 carries for 87 yards in Seattle's 24-0 win over San Francisco last Monday."

It doesn't sound like Holmgren would be comfortable using Alexander much, if at all.

Both of you turn this WAY down.J

seattle is my hometown team, never did like his running style, except on M.N.F. or some other big game. shaun never has run hard except in the red zone. do you notice how his legs quit moving when someone touches him (not tackle - touch!!!) he cant pick up the blitz, or catch passes (i thought a west coast o needed a back to do this) to me if seattle would have given the $ to left gaurd steve hutchison and brought in a second tier back who could do these things they would be dominant team and making more super bowl appearances. i could go on about this forever!

Funny you should say this when today I was fortunate enough to pick him up off of waivers today. I know he's been terrible but I can't believe his owner just cut bait on him all together but that's another story. I really think this guy can turn it around like he did last year but that's just me.Anyway, I was studying his production before he got hurt. He caught 11 passes before the bye week. Not bad at all. Just average but It's doable in ppr as long as he gets all of the GL love when he returns, which he should. What I don't understand is why he doesn't get the ball more.

Anyone care to take explain why this is?

Picked up MoMo off the WW. I really want to play with my new toy. The other option is KJ who I am worried about because:

- matchup vs the NYG Def.

- the nagging foot injury (miss snaps if the game is blowout either way?)

- Short week for Det - take him out early (as above)

Ultimately, who is more likely to score?

I just cut him this week in my league. He's still sitting on the waiver wire.
