I don't know that Shaun Alexander really deserves an exclamation point anymore.
He's outproduced everyone drafted ahead of him except maybe Addai/Parker/Westbrook depending on your league and is on pace for close to 1500 and 15 TDs. I'd say he gets an exclamation point. Unless you want to save it for Jamal Lewis.

You Knew the minute he put on protective cast couple weeks ago and being coy about it there was a problem. He will play thru it as long as he dont start fumbling.

Shaun Alexander has a crack in his wrist

Posted by Frank Hughes @ 03:28:29 pm

Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren was downplaying this injury to Shaun's wrist, and was intent on not comparing it to the crack in Shaun's foot, but he did say the doctors took some more pictures of Shaun's wrist and discovered a small crack in it.

The net-net, Holmgren said, is that the cast he is wearing to protect it is a long-term thing, not a short-term fix. He also admitted that the wrist is having an affect on Alexander, from the way he carries the ball to being able to shift the ball to catching the ball to the way he falls to the ground. It is an issue, Holmgren said, but, again, he was trying to de-emphasize it.

Holmgren also said that Shaun started out with a smaller cast on during yesterday's game, then after he seemed to hurt it they put a bigger cast on it immobilize it.

Seahawks | Alexander has cracked bone in wrist

Mon, 24 Sep 2007 16:12:32 -0700

The Associated Press reports Seattle Seahawks RB Shaun Alexander (wrist) has a cracked bone in his left wrist. He will continue to play with a protective cast, according to head coach Mike Holmgren. Holmgren did not say when the bone was cracked, but said "extra pictures" of the wrist were taken after Alexander came out of the Week 3 game in the first half.

Obviously 100 yds in the last game and solid performances in week 1 & 2.

Question becomes - who if anyone do you cuff Alexander with:

Maurice Morris - beneficiary last year - but hampered with a hip injury

Alvin Pearman - acquired recently from the Jags in a trade

Leonard Weaver - big fullback that some say is very fast and would be capable.

I drafted Morris as a cuff - some say that's a wasted pick. Knowing that Alexander has a gimpy wrist - now is the time to act on preventative maintenance - any thoughts out there - or are we just looking at a committee?

I just got through with a broken scaphoid injury...all summer.

Depends on what bone it is...but I would've rather broken my ulna or radius than that little POS scaphoid. Wrist bones get bad circulation and don't heal easily requiring surgery. Seems he may have caught his in time.

Pencil Alexander in for another 14-16 TDs this year. The guy turns it on like no other when TDs are in sight. I swear to god this guy is the most average runner I have ever seen except when it counts the most.

Guess it didn't count much against Cinn then.
