Shhhhhh! I'm trying to quietly grab him in my league! I, too, have Mr. Lewis, by the way.
Dunno how you can go wrong with taking a chance on Williams. By our scoring system (will spare you the details, but it is tackle heavy) he would be the #4 db in the NFL had his three games been projected over the season so far (behind only Ronde Barber, Chris Hope, and Troy Polamalu).
EDIT: I had a quick search for an answer to your deeper question (i.e., how does he look from here on out) and found little of use on Google. Sorry!
Shaun Williams started against Cincinnati and played nearly every snap. In the boxscore last week >> 5-3 for Williams, 0-0 for Branch. Branch wasn't particularly impressive in any phase of the game while Williams was out. He's unlikely to be fully recovered from an ACL/MCL/meniscal/patellar tendon injury he suffered late in training camp in 2005 until next season.
I should have warned everyone here that I was picking him up this past week and starting him. That was the sign that he wouldn't do much. The bigger question in my mind is , why was Minter all of a sudden all over the field making plays, like the Minter of old. Maybe Jene knows something about what happened or what is happening (if anything).

I think it's a combination of factors.Colin Branch was on the field at times, but not much. Foot injury may still be bothering him some, too, as he didn't look as quick to fill on running downs. Some if it was probably gameplanning this week -- especially Minter's numbers. Williams isn't very good in coverage, so Mike Minter was matched up on Witten over the top with Thomas Davis below. Nine of his 15 total tackles were made in pass defense situations; he was 7-1 against Witten and Owens. Williams also hasn't been as valuable since the Panthers' LB situation has settled with Draft and Diggs both healthy. He'll get two weeks' rest now and then gets the Buccaneers, who've not been a good matchup at all for safeties. It may be awhile until we see worthwhile production from him.
