Yup. And it's not even close. I think it's going to be a huge story too. I have heard 4 post game interviews from Sherman. Only on the live national feed did he tone it down. Even an hour after the game he was still hamming I up and endlessly mocking Crabtree. You're probably young and don't quite get why this sort of stuff rubs people the wrong way. I didn't understand it either when I was young. But boy, it really turns people off.

The guy is great, you're kind of a turn off though. This is a huge rivalry, and he got the best of Crabtree. I'm guessing Crabtree ran his mouth enough to tick Sherman off. Maybe Crabtree is the one who should shut up and play because he's not in Sherman's league.

What I do love about these incidents is that is has a culling affect on the Shark Pool. You get to see people's true colors. Keep thinking Sherman is a great man.

Who cares if he is a great man. He is a great player, and entertaining in a unique way. This is the NFL. Not the cooking channel.

But that's the thing, Pro. They aren't mutually exclusive. There are top players at their positions that are very respectful and set a good example. I think you'd agree that you'd take that, correct?

Don't get me wrong, I guess I'd like Sherman on my team, if my team was hurting at that position, but I'd sure like a guy who "spoke his mind" with respect to others when he did it, also keeping in mind that kids are going to emulate him and his actions.

Absolutely. I loved guys like Largent. Score a TD, hand the ball to the ref, go wait to do your job again.

But I'm not going to go all "won't you think of the children" because the guy reacted less than ideally after making the play of his career to send his team to the super bowl against his college coach who wouldn't draft him in the pros and making the play against a receiver who'd been talking trash against him. The guy's a young football player, not a politician. I don't expect him to be the perfect citizen, and just because some other athletes handled it better doesn't mean I think he's some kind of terrible person.

I wasn't going all "children" on you, or didn't mean to. I threw that in there at the end just to kind of say that as adults, as you and I seem to be, we hopefully have learned that flapping your lips, especially in a disrespectful way after getting one over on your opponent, is not really a classy thing to do.

I meant it in the way that it's obvious that Sherman has some growing up to do, and that's ok, because at the same age I had a hell of a lot of it to do as well.

That doesn't mean I can't look at it and cringe, and hope my son doesn't become a fan of Sherman's and do this to a DB he catches a pass on. I'd probably put the fear of god in him and let him know that if he wants to play football, he will respect his opponent, or at the very least walk away as the bigger man (assuming there wasn't any physical threat).

I just hope Sherman gets there at some point, because he's good. I don't want to see him implode like many other over-the-top- stars have in the NFL. He seems like a smart guy.

True, and I wish he would. I cringed tonight and during BALTY. But, he is what he is. And what he is is a player I want on my football team 100 times out of 100. Smart, ridiculously hard working, pushes his teammates in the DB room to be better constantly, plays hard every single week, doesn't take plays off, and absolutely brings it in big moments.

Unfortunately, he's a bit of a loudmouth who acts like an ### sometimes. But, you know what? Nobody's perfect. I'll take the package, thanks.

I love listening to the guy. It's like watching the heel (bad guy) in Pro Wrestling.

But it's fun because it's just him. If everyone were like this then the sport would just be a bunch of trash talking, people losing their tempers, fights, etc and we'd lose the true competition.

It's the class on this team, like Wilson (and others) that allows Sherman to act this way. That's fine.

It's very telling that he talks so much, and then when he said to that Redskin's lineman "What you gonna do?" and then he got popped, he backed off real quick. Then when others stepped inbetween him and the lineman, he started to yell again.

He started laughing after the hit and didn't start talking trash again until other Redskins came in and got in his face. I think you need to re-watch what happened. Your assessment doesn't seem to be accurate.

BTW, Williams (a known dirty player) only got a $8K fine for that. Wearing the wrong shoes costs you more than keeping your helmet on and punching an unhelmeted player you weigh 100lbs more than. Surprised it doesn't happen more often.

Don't make it personal or take it so personally. Clayton explained both before and after the game that Sherman would be looking forward to going up against Crabtree because of some trash Crabtree talked last offseason at Larry Fitzgerald's passing camp. Something about Crabtree "rolling over" Sherman. Well, he made his bed, now he has the off season to sleep in it.

And after seeing Sherman's interview I have to say it wasn't impressive. But then again, he wasn't lying. He just sounded like an immature ###. That gargantuan chip on his shoulder makes him the best; so you take the bad with the good.

Sherman really dislikes thug mentality. He really dislikes being talked down to by receivers. You won't see him talking like this to receivers that play with some semblance of honor and respect for other players. Crabtree isn't that guy. Fitzgerald is that guy, and there are many others like him that you won't see verbally squaring off with Sherman. I strongly doubt you will see any war of words between Sherman and anyone on the Denver roster.

Sherman went on and on by his locker, orating for an ever-increasing group of media folks. "Me and Earl walked up to him and said, 'We're greater than you. We're better than you. You're just a man -- we're a team.'

Sounds to me like Brady got a bit sick and tired of hearing this clown running his mouth all game long when he shot back with the "see you after the game" comment.

Funny he mentions "we're a team" in that. All I thought when I saw his interview after the game was how he was taking away the team accomplishment and making the whole moment about himself. Pretty much opposite of a team player. He backs his talk up though, hard to argue with the results. I won't be sad if/when Thomas or Decker burn him for a TD though
