Shows on non traditional outlets - Question (1 Viewer)

SUPER ELITE UPPER TIER
Will shows that are on other outlets (Yahoo, Netflix, etc.) ever be released on DVD or Blu-Ray? For example, will they ever put the last season of Community or Arrested Development out on DVD? I don't want to watch them on my computer screen.

You could run a cable (HDMI would be the best) from your computer to your TV and watch them there with no difference in quality.

Or, you know, get a Roku, Apple TV or any number of other devices that are specifically designed to solve this problem.

As RL said, I think a Roku solves this issue well.

Alternatively, if you are in the market for a new TV, a SmartTV would be the way to go. I love having YouTube, NetFlix, HBOGo, etc on my TV when I am sick of looking at my computer monitor.

Yes, I'm sure there are workarounds. And when I was younger and all about being a techy, I would have been the guy answering this question with a smartass comment. But now I'm old. And I'm crossing over into that area where I have to ask my kid how to change the clock on my VCR.

They aren't "workarounds". Not unless you consider the cell phone a workaround for the fact that phone booths don't exist any more.

Installing one is also so easy that your "I'm a grumpy old man" shtick doesn't even really apply.

Work around to get Netflix on the TV? There are dozens of ways and they aren't work arounds, your TV is one of the intended places to view Netflix.

Can't get much easier then plugging in two ends of a wire.

Issue

Should we really expect someone wearing Wrangler's to be able to correctly plug both ends of a cable in. I mean he has to match the shapes and everything.
