Luvs song...
nice pick for these guys though.973. The Stranglers - Golden Brown
Listening to this now, this should be way higher. But I don't feel like moving it.
Just listened to this on the way home. I hereby revoke my release. It's sooooo good, and you'd sound so fantastic on it.Maybe it will be on the list! Nevertheless, I hereby release you and your heirs, successors, and assigns from any and all obligations to record the excellent Kinks song "This Time Tomorrow" until such time as you have recorded all 1000 of shuke's songs.I'm busy working on This Time Tomorrow as in instructed by @krista4
Actually this thread has gone so quickly that I had already given up on listening to everything and resigned myself to using it only to find karaoke suggestions for you!
This was great.
Dance!This was great.
I'm just catching up on B-52s chat. I don't love them as much as most, but Dance This Mess Around is just about as good as it gets. "They do all sixteen dances"?!?! (And they never name all sixteen.)
I went to Bonnaroo in 2006, renting an RV with my recent-ex-boyfriend who had started to do a lot of drugs (hence the "ex"), and on the way from Chicago to TN we picked up my step-cousin in Louisville. My step-cousin had been knifed and nearly died in a drug deal gone bad, went to prison for forging prescriptions from my step-uncle's MD account, and then by that time was completely clean. It was an interesting combo of people.
Ooooooh, would be a lot higher for me, but I'm glad it's on the list. I listen to this one all the time.
+1 Don't really want to be associated with Child Rapist Ted Nugent.Luvs song...
....HATES Ted!
I love this song. Love the guitar985. Molly Hatchet - Dreams I'll Never See
Flirtin' with disaster is way overplayed. This song is better anyway. But I hate the lead singer's voice. This would be much better as an instrumental.
Not me. I have five new bands to check out already. Thank you!I think everyone is already as bored as I am with this.
Not only is String Cheese da Bomb - I like this band too - and song.984. String Cheese Incident - Black Clouds
If you don't like jam bands, you can probably skip this one.
Yeah - Stranglehold kicks it too - but, as I said earlier - the man disgusts me - on many levels.we thought Ted was a maniac back in the day, just not the kind of maniac he turned out to be.
people may not like this music, but there is no denying how much ### is being kicked here.
With you-------well - yeah - duh!I think everyone is already as bored as I am with this.
Don't get me wrong. Love Apology Accepted. I like most their songs. Tough to pick one from an artist. What would you have selected? This is one of the reasons for the thread.
I laughed at this earlier - in response to the challenge - after seeing the cover.
Can you do the write-ups for all my picks?I went to Bonnaroo in 2006, renting an RV with my recent-ex-boyfriend who had started to do a lot of drugs (hence the "ex"), and on the way from Chicago to TN we picked up my step-cousin in Louisville. I liked Gomez but didn't know a ton of their stuff, but we went to their show there. After a lot of more aggressive stuff - I'm not saying they played anything at all hard, but How We Operate and other songs had a much more aggressive vocal - this little meek guy stepped up to the microphone and said he was going to sing the next song, and it was this one. It was lovely. So smooth, and beautiful, and graceful...especially in comparison to what had come before (all of which I loved, too). From then on, this was my favorite song of theirs, despite the slightly goofy lyrics. I can still picture that moment of a seemingly shy, sweet singer introducing the song, and that all our disparate personalities were charmed by it.
Love these guys. Apparently Harry Potter does too973. The Stranglers - Golden Brown

Album cover is hysterical - cool song that I had never heard before though.
He had a bunch of tunes that I liked on that first album- one of our submarines, pirate twins, wind power. But I loved the follow up that got panned- The Flat Earth- including one of my favorite tunes, I scare myself.978. Thomas Dolby - She Blinded Me With Science
One just for nostalgia's sake. I'm 46, so definitely grew up an MTV kid. People like to say that kids back in the day spent all their time outside from dawn to dusk. I remember playing outside a lot, in the woods, pick up baseball/basketball/football, riding our bikes, getting into trouble. But I also remember plenty of time inside playing Atari, watching MTV, and looking at Playboys.
Always really liked give me back my man, and generally like the band. This was great.

So beautiful and an incredible bass player. She wowed the whole music world when she first hit the scene playing bass for Jeff Beck.
Damn - nice pull. Great tune that still gets occasional play on SiriusXM Deep Tracks.
Fred was awesome, but Cindy was always the unsung hero of the B52s.Always really liked give me back my man, and generally like the band.
You echo the thoughts in my head.985. Molly Hatchet - Dreams I'll Never See

First time I saw SCI was back in 2001, at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. They opened up with Black Clouds and it blew my mind. The energy was off the charts...everyone was grooving!984. String Cheese Incident - Black Clouds
If you don't like jam bands, you can probably skip this one.
...try the glue...Looks like I picked the wrong week to start a music thread.
what's this all about?Love these guys. Apparently Harry Potter does too
Daniel Radcliffe is a big Stranglers fanwhat's this all about?
gotcha - I knew I liked that guy.Daniel Radcliffe is a big Stranglers fan
shukes a dead - jammerAt a conservative low estimate of 3.5 minutes per song, we are looking at about 58 hours of music here.
Sweet song - sweet band.
Calling Neil Diamond for the #1.You have ALL DAY TOMORROW to listen to these.
Definitely remember that video. Loved it back in the day. Loved Stand and Deliver too.971. Adam Ant - Goody Two Shoes
This is one of the first videos I remember seeing ad nauseum on MTV. Songs still holds up pretty well.
For the most part, yes. Accept the there is definitely some bias towards my favorite bands near the top of the list.Assuming this is ranked by song, not artist, right? Asking for a friend.
