I just now realized that this was a real thread
And it's spectacular

Thanks Shuke. I'm discovering new old music I never knew existed and rediscovering old old music I haven't heard in a while.

The video - oh my.

Clicking on all the links in this and the tim thread has made my YouTube suggested videos go wacky.  For quite a while at the top were "Lies the Motley Crue Movie Told You" and "The Truth Behind Harmony Korine" (I can't stand Harmony Korine).  Now it's some guy with no arms playing guitar with his feet.
I hate it when Penny Lane gets You-bumped.

Missed this while busy. Doin' catch up now.

I'm a big Jack White fan - please post something from every band he's been in! 🙏

Regarding this song - the lyrics are sooo excellent - I gots ta post em (just as Kristy's gotsta dance 💃).

-------

My veins are blue and connected

And every single bone in my brain is electric

But I dig ditches like the best of 'em

Yo trabajo duro

Como en madera, ¿y eso?

Como en madera, ¿y eso?

And even God herself has fewer plans than me

But she never helps me out when my scan's for free, though

She grabs a stick and then she pokes it at me

When I say nothing, I say everything

Yeah when I say nothing, I say everything

They put me down in a lazaretto

Born rotten, bored rotten

Making models of people I used to know

Out of coffee and cotton

And all of my illegitimate kids have begotten

Thrown down to the wolves, made feral for nothing

Quarantined on the Isle Of Man

And I'm trying to escape any way that I can, oh

Any way that I can, oh

I have no time left

Time is lost

No time at all, throw it in a garbage can

And I shake God's hand

I jump up and let her know when I can

This is how I'm gonna do it

They wanna blow down the prison

They're lighting fires with the cash of the masses

And like the dough I don't fall down

I'm so Detroit I make it rise from the ashes

Songwriters: WHITE JACK

To me, this is the Ultimate I don't GAF - but - I really do - just not your way, m'f'er! Ima gonna rise! Piss off!

Blows me away every time I hear it.

RANKED TOO LOW DUMB ####, ####, #######,

How's that? Passionate enuff?

🤓💥⚡🔥☄️

Edit: Decided ta throw out my other fav "Jack IDGAF song" - The Dead Weather, so it not Jack White, per se...

I Cut Like a Buffalo - live

Gotta give some major props to shuke over this, I couldn't do it. And be true to it, I;d spend so much time in debate I;d never get done.

852. The Easybeats - Friday on My Mind

You will enjoy this song more if you just listen to it rather than having to watch Stevie Wright make punchable faces the entire time.
Easybeats, as mentioned on the OHW thread, were a decent band that included an older brother of Angus and Malcom Young, Harry Vanda - who along with Young, produced Thea early Ac/Dc albums and Stevie Wright on vocals.

Good Times https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qaYi3GoXnm4 is another song of theirs many may know from the remake by INXS and Jimmy Barnes that was in Lost Boys.

842. Ben Nichols - The Kid

Wiki: The Last Pale Light in the West is the first solo album by Ben Nichols of Lucero with Rick Steff (Lucero, Cat Power) and Todd Beene (Glossary) released on Lucero's label Liberty & Lament and The Rebel Group in 2009. It is a seven-song concept album inspired by Cormac McCarthy's book Blood Meridian with each song based on characters and situations drawn from the novel.
