per schefter on twitter....Here are WR Sidney Rice's numbers with Seattle: fivr years up to $44 million including $18.5 million guaranteed.

i dont think i'll be drafting him in redraft thats for sure. but in dynasty i think he's still a hold... he's talented enough to be a top 10 WR if he can stay healthy... the ####ty QB situation should only last a year.

As a Vikings fan, I'm really disappointed in this (I know, it probably won't be the only time this season :hophead: ). Now all they have is Harvin, and.... NOBODY!

They'll add Edwards or Floyd or someone. My guess is MSW or James Jones.

As a Seahawks fan, I am ecstatic!

Here is the offense they are building:

Code:
----------------------------------------------------------------------BMW Rice Okung - Gallery - Unger - Moffit - Carpenter - Carlson XXXXX (In talks with Vonte Leach) Lynch----------------------------------------------------------------------
1 qb away from having a pretty damn good offense!

Wow, all FA moves so far have ended up devaluing the players SIGNIFICANTLY. Rice couldn't have went to a worse QB situation and D Will and Stewart take a big hit, if Bradshaw goes to Miami I think that's a hit as well.

Looks that way but I think only DWill/ Stewart are hurt long term. Bradshaw stays in NY and Rice gets help in Seattle. Lotta stuff can still happen.

There's no reason why Carolina can't put Jstew on the trade block when the free agent feeding frenzy slows down, and teams who were pining for a RB1 are willing to give up the farm for his upside... wait and see what happens.

Why would they do that? He's young, good and cheap. They want the depth of two excellent backs.

Not to mention that the NFL doesn't operate that way very often.

MOTHER F*&$ER!!!

If I were to pass by Sidney on the street...I'd donkey punch him square in his throat.

:goodposting: Makes no sense, Stewart isn't being traded. If Carolina wanted to go with one back they would have let deangelo go and saved a ton of money. They didn't sign deangelo to a huge deal so they could trade a very affordable Stewart.Stewart owners need to give up the dream, it's over for now, in another couple years he might be able to be a workhorse. Enjoy the wait.

Because I don't know if you watch carolina games, but they have 2 excellent backs, and 2 very good developing backs behind them. Sutton and Goodson. When Dwill and JStew were injured last year, Goodson performed admirably. And the NFL doesn't have month long lockouts with hundreds of free agents and a feeding frenzy very often either. This is a scenario without precedent, and the Panthers have a bumper crop of starter quality RBs, and too many holes to come anywhere near the playoffs. I'm sure some moves will be made.

No farm will be given up IMO.

Ill stop thread hijacking, but it's not my fault you guys don't know anything about any RBs other than Stewart and Williams in Car.There's no reason why Carolina can't put Jstew on the trade block when the free agent feeding frenzy slows down, and teams who were pining for a RB1 are willing to give up the farm for his upside... wait and see what happens.

I am not all that upset that he is gone, especially for that kind of money. He had 1 productive year that he wasn't slowed or stopped by injury and that year he had an aging Favre force feeding him the ball. He waited until the last minute last year to have surgery, pretty much putting the season on hold. Let Seattle take a chance on him for 18.5 mil guaranteed. I may end up eating my words, but I was upset when they signed Buerlson, not so much this time.

I'll stop hijacking the thread, but there is a case to be made for moving a player like JStew when they're essentially rebuilding and they'd be trading some roster depth to fill holes on a team that really needs it. It's unfortunate that you guys aren't familiar with the RBs on Carolina that aren't named JStew and Dwill, because they're both starter quality RBs as well.

I will say this, if Fox doesn't make a backdoor move for Stewart I'll be disappointed. We may never hear about it, but Fox is a cagey guy who's been around awhile. He owes himself at least a phone call. Probably wouldnt work but would be a huge coup if he could do it.

What pick would he give for Stewart right now? Makes the head spin a little.
