The Vikes will then have 3 weeks to put him on the active roster. Where exactly is he in his progress...any MDs on the board who care to chime in with what they speculate might be a timetable?Judd Zulgad reported that Rice saw two separate specialists over the summer, both saying he needed surgery. He went through minicamp and whatnot (although I don't think he took a snap at minicamp nor training camp) and finally saw a third specialist at the end of August where he decided to have surgery.
Either he ignorantly thought he could work his way through it or he had another agenda. Either way there is no sense in bantering about this anymore.

Everything has been feeling good. It hasn't been giving me any problems. I've been walking around and walking on the treadmill, things like that with [my full] body weight."
As for when he will be able to begin football activities, that still hasn't been determined. Rice said the Vikings athletic training staff will consult with the doctors and that a date for him to do some football-related work might be picked this week.
