It really wasn't that unrealistic.

Have you ever pressed the Delete key on your own computer? Depending on where the cursor is positioned, it absolutely can erase data, sometimes irretrievably.

It's not like he placed the tequila bottle on the Caps Lock key or something.

No...for a company like that, they would have redundant backups. Even if it did delete the main files, the IT staff should be able to have the files restored in hours.

What you might be missing is that this seems to have been a HARD DELETE.

Half the episode was about how nothing could "realistically" happen.

Sure it's a comedy. But a comedy about baseball would bug me too if one team just hit a five-run home run due to lazy writing.

 
Count me in the camp who didn't like this episode. I actually turned it off right before (I presume) Richard set the Asian hacker dude off.

I just couldn't deal/made me angry and it was predictable.

Thought that group of 3-4 people they hired was doing the code.

As to the delete key mentioned in another post, I thought it was hilarious - especially when he puts the bottle back to demonstrate. This show has so much going on that you can have 20 posts about different actions/statements.

p.s. She's HOT.

 
I agree with others that wish there was just a little less focus on plot. Not only would it help avoid the high/low elevator ride ending every episode, but it would allow the writers more time to just have these guys in a room and say/do very funny things. The writing is so good even in the subtle ways that it could handle being structured around some of the more traditional sitcom elements.

 
I would be down for a spin off on OJ. That guy is the best character on the show. Rewatched the episode where the girl the hired talks about her friend Cunty. His facial expressions and reactions are priceless

There's no way Gilfoyle is shaving yactoseconds off of code execution times like he said a few episodes back. At the api layers they are using it's milliseconds, microseconds at best. Even with native code.

Even embedded software rarely gets to the nanosecond level. Picoseconds, no. Yactoseconds... Yeah right

I personally dont see it and think she is very attractive. This reminds me I need to seek out that picture someone mentioned

Definitely something off with her mouth/teeth. Still very attractive, and definitely "would" in less than a second, but she's not in the uber hawt tier because of it.

She's not in an elite tier because of her smallish/non-existant ####### - throw some D's on that frame and you've got elite tier. There's not really anything wrong with her mouth and that comes from someone pretty interested in oral cosmetics.
