I think it's time to come up with competition for this crap. I have it programmed into my radio and listen to it most of the time I am in the car, trying to unearth the one piece of valuable information out of hours of drivel.

I mean, these guys are professionals, have time to prepare for the show, should have computers at their fingertips and yet repeatedly provide bad information or get a person's name wrong. Nothing frustrates me more than hearing professionals call Montario Hardesty ... something I can't remember. It started with M and end with ty.

Other than Adam Caplan I really don't think there is anyone on there with any knowledge of anything in the NFL.

Monty? Could be his nickname.Yeah,I never gotten any nuggets of info, plus they have commercials. I rarely listen to it any more.

No, not Monty. It wasn't anything close. The guy basically admitted he had no idea who he was. It's just scary that these guys can get shows.

Definately has gone downhill. THe morning show used to be pretty good but their schtick has worn out.The one guy on in the afternoon whines and #####es about everything. I can't remember which guy it is, but terrible.

I haven't listened to it in years (I actually listen to the actual NFL channel and found that helps me in fantasy just as much), but from what I recall, the guys knew what they were talking about but had an almost impossible task of trying to customize information to each and every caller. So with every call, it was like a complete rehash of the caller's scoring system, lineup requirements,e tc. That takes a lot of time. And then they started running a lot more commercials and before you knew it, it seemed like the day's programming was:

-Injury updates (which I can get in like 5 second anywhere)

-Comparison of which young player is best going forward (which I can get here :) )

-Generic rankings (because they don't have time to get into specifics)

Concept:good. Execution: challenging given the parameters.

for me to find a fantasy show consistently valuable, it would have to be very good at breaking news a lot of the time or it would have to spend the time to analyze why a guy you wouldn't think is going to play well (or vice versa) will (e.g., start Sanchez over Eli this weekend and here's why...and then it happens). This show does neither. I don't blame the hosts. I just think its a challenging fit for radio.

The morning show is the worst radio show I've ever heard, period. Their constant "How you doin' boy" crap is idiotic. Plus, they still do impressions from the 90's (Austin Powers, beavis and butthead). It's embarrassing to listen to.Nathan Zegura is really the only one on the channel that I like, because he usually focuses on giving information rather than spending the entire show taking caller questions. The questions are usually terrible and generic, and every caller names off their entire team before asking about which kicker they should play.

They're all pretty terrible at radio, but some of them have good information. Lenny Melnick's (sp?) breakdowns of spring training box scores and lineups every morning in March were awesome for deep leagues. The mock drafts mostly had good reasoning and discussion with them preseason.

I find it a little pointless to listen to in the middle of the season. There are better places to get rankings (like here for instance) and how much discussion is really needed for pickups? The WDIS calls get incredibly old, but it's almost unavoidable in this format.

More IDP talk would interest me as well. The IDP podcasts around here blow anything they're doing out of the water on that front.

This channel has become a pretty big disappointment. I do like the show that Adam Caplan and John Hanson do on Monday (reviewing the Sunday games) and Friday (previewing the upcoming games) and Nathan Zagura is not bad but other than that not much worthwhile. Between the non stop WDIS questions, shows hosted by celebrities (does anybody care what Fred McGriff or Zakk Wilde think about FF) and shows hosted by Roto Baseball guys who don't know much about football, it's pretty much a waste of time. You get much better information on the NFL channel.

It is terrible. They have this huge listener base and potential...but, it's so boring. How many times do I have to listen to a red neck caller go through his entire lineup? Get to the point.

So much time is wasted on this channel.

Chris Liss is so bad. The only show worth listening to is Zegura and occasionally John Hansen/Caplan.

Chris Liss is so bad.
Is he the one that just says "yeah, I agree with that" to everything that's said by his co-host (without offering any opinion of his own). That's my least favorite guy on the channel other than "The King" on the morning show, who is the most obnoxious man I've ever listened to on the radio.

Hanson/Caplan and Zegura (when he's not shmoozing with wrestlers- although his Macho Man shtick is OK) are about the only shows I can listen to on a regular basis. You can't have these shows without having some ratio of Shark Pool/Assistant Coach content, and as it gets later in the week you're going to hear more WDIS questions. All sports radio walks the fine line between informational and grating- Mad Dog and Rome feature a lot of yelling and beating topics into the ground, and it's all about finding which personalities sit the best with you. I would say I get as much useful information regarding rankings, game analysis, and waiver wire information from this channel as one gets from subscribing to FF websites.

The only shows I can't really stomach are the morning show and the Drive.

the rotoexperts in teh a.m. just absolutely suck ###. once in awhile they have a nugget of interest but you have 90% of just awful personality schtick, can't listen anymore.

I do like adam caplin, nathan zegura, and also have to admit I don't listen to any other fantasy sport chat than football. MJD is interesting for the 1st 10-15 minutes of his show, just to hear some viewpoints from a real player, but then it just gets repetitive blah blah blah.

Zegura was nice until stupid first and awesome which is so lame, with the Mizzzzzz. Its even more annoying than Ray freakin Flowers.

Scott Engle is the absolute worst. He thinks he is the end all in Fantasy football Knowledge. I can't believe people call into these shows. Zegura is ok except on Wednesdays when the Miz comes on, that is the worst segment. So glad I never catch MJD on there anymore. That guy wasn't awful. Dont' ask him a questions involving himself he'd tell you to accept any trade that he was involved in. I love on Friday mornings when they go through the daily news fantasy article and bash the #### out of it because they know so much more fantasy knowledge then a daily news paper.... fckn tools.

Zegura is a complete kiss ### to ANYONE he talks to. That gets annoying, but I generally like his take on things.

Scott Engle gave terrible advice this year. Get a top 5 quarterback at all costs!! DeMarco Murray is a top 3 running back, AJ Green will struggle with double teams, yadda yadda

agreed...at least he comes with some stats and good info. That channel is like the AC forum...waaaayyyyy too much WDIS, should I pick up this guy, should I trade this guy? It's very interesting for the guy on the phone but no one else cares and nearly 95% of the people that call are complete idiots. I'd much rather they talk about strategy and such. Cecil and Sig would KILL on that station.

The radio shows may not be very good (I do love Kay Adams though), but they are geniuses compared to the clowns on the NFL Network fantasy show. Talk about useless.

The funny thing is, it's one of the top 10 Sirius stations overall for ratings during football months. They need to figure out a way to make it more entertaining to keep listeners.

Ever listen to this station after football is over? It's painful...

I stopped listening to it a while ago and generally just listen to the NFL station, but I was listening on Monday and it was even worse than usual. People were calling in to ask what their chances of winning on Monday night was. At least the WDIS questions sometimes have some value, but the "am I going to win tonight" questions are just worthless. If I tune in again, it definitely won't be on a Monday.

I can appreciate his info about game preparation and how he plays the game- I'd rather he have a show on the NFL channel just talking about playing the game and having guest players from time-to-time.Now LT- that guy just doesn't have much of a radio personality. He and Jerry Rice were fantasy monsters, but just aren't interesting on the radio.

There are two shows on Sirius fantasy that I absolutely cannot stand. The first one is the geek that comes on at 11:00 that talks like JD from the Howard Stern Show.

The second one is the show with Fred McGriff. I loved the Crime Dog as a baseball player, but he brings nothing to the table as far as fantasy is concerned.

On today's early show they were busting on him for spending 889 out of $1000 to pick up Felix Jones. Either he's a Cowboys homer or he's just not very good at this.

My only knock on the guy regarding fantasy advice is that he has his clear favorites. He believes in guys like Ryan Mathews and Bradshaw no matter the matchup, condition the player is in, or wacky coach philosophies.

I can't fault him there. We are going into week 7, and there are very few breakout performances after this point in a usual year. If you can grab a guy that can help you win this week (and maybe next), you should go for it.I'd trust Zegura long before the morning show idiots.

Hey if only there was an experienced fantasy football website with a buncha Guys who have experience with a podcast/audio broadcast, reliability, tons of content and a built in fanbase which could step in and do a show that people would actually want to tune into and profit from.

Oh well.

Fred McGriff must have pictures of John Hansen. No idea how this guy gets on radio. He speaks as if he might be at a 3rd grade reading comprehension level.

The fact that the shows are 100% callin questions drives me nuts.

Do game reviews, previews, anything but callins!

Give em a break, they have to fill in 2-3 hour shows. Its an all day fantasy channel so there's a lot of filler material

This is the problem in general with Talk Radio shows. They focus on callers and not listeners. I don't understand why they don't do team reviews, game reviews, list targets, focus on expectations of injury consequences. So much potential but they focus on schtick and grooming annoying callers. The NFL channel does the same thing. They are all about the callers and the players. Player interviews are just as bad as callers. They add nothing to convey information. Just a load of hero worship like we are all still in high school.

Kay Adams is worth googling.....she is on fire....and likes fantasy.....she would be kind of fun to hang out with on Sundays...close the blinds and do some very bad things while watching football......watch football...oh my

the call in segments are absolutely worthless.if there are a million people listening to the station, each call is of interest to one in a million.I just switch over to nfl or music when they start doing that, though, so I don't hear to much of it.I have no idea how anyone in programming thinks that's a good idea.there are 32 teams -- you really can't come up with material?half the airtime is already ads for buying gold, get rich quick sports betting systems, or get rich quick sports betting sites.

Exactly. FBGs come up with what, 6? hours of in season podcasts a week and have no, or minimal call ins.Actually I'm confident Cecil and Bloom and company could just bloviate for 8 hours a day without much work and it would be far more interestingThe bad thing is when the Sirius guys aren't taking call ins, they are rambling about their individual leagues. No one wants to hear about that
