Sitting in a Waffle House (1 Viewer)

was actually told they "didn't have any waffles today" the last time I went, only to see them mixing a batch in the back 5 minutes later. I could only laugh after getting over the urge to firebomb the place.
Reminds me of the time I went to Pizza Hut only to be told they were out of pizza.
That happened to me once in Jackson tn. It was about 2pm and they said they were out of dough.

We ate at a Waffle House in Georgia on the way home from a fishing trip. I was hung over to all hell and ordered a chocolate milk. The waitress asked if she should bring me the funny section from the newspaper too. The closest I ever came to hitting a woman.
:lmao: Chocolate milk at Waffle House is my go-to when hungover.Double order of hash browns, scattered, double-covered and diced, side of bacon, side of toast, chocolate milk (brought out ASAP), Diet Coke and water.

I am typing from one right now. Just polished off a waffle and an order of hash browns: double order, double covered and diced.

I had the cheese 'n eggs w/ raisin toast and apple butter, grits, hash browns (no toppings though, poor tactical move) and a waffle; I feel like curling up on the curb and taking a nap in Otis' honor.

How many neck tattoos?
Waffle House employees aren't allowed visible tattoos around here. I don't know if that is a company rule everywhere, but it is here. About three years ago my brother was working a job fair, and his booth was beside a Waffle House booth. I went by to say hi at lunch, and overheard a conversation at the WH booth. A girl wanted to fill out an application for the Waffle House, and when she reached for an application the Waffle House employee saw a tattoo on her forearm. That employee told her not to apply, because her tattoo would be visible with the uniforms they have to wear, and company policy is no visible tattoos. I was surprised that a 24-hour eatery would have that policy, but they do.

The play at waffle house can also be the patty melt or any of the texas melts and double order of hash browns, however you like them. My wife and I always loved hitting up the waffle house on vacation on the way to hilton head from ohio. Now I get it all the time - just don't go much since its not so good for me. But still love and brings back such good memories. Great greasy spoon.

I'm back. No waitresses this time, so I am bummed. Food is good though. Chubby girl at the counter has her ### crack hanging out of her pants.

What kind and colour of underwear is chubby girl wearing?
They are lower then her waistband. I'll go on a recon mission.
Excellent, I await the answer patiently.
Those panties are really tucked in there; all I can make out is a black tag riding up out of her crack. I was really looking too, she covered up. :lmao:

Thanks for the try and the laugh.

I am here again but this time there are a few waitresses on duty. Dark haired one was here about a month ago when I came through; she is rising high in the standings.

What I don't understand is in breakfast towns like Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge (TN)...they don't have ANY WH's. Pancake houses galore...but no waffle houses.
Im 99% sure there is a Waffle House in pigeon forge. Eta - google maps says I'm wrong. Regardless, if you need breakfast in pf it would be a mistake to skip the big red barn near the edge of town that serves delicious all you can eat pancakes.
True

Went to a local Bojangles one evening and was told they were out of chicken.

They are building a new WH up the street from where I work. Have been eagerly awaiting the grand opening.

Where I grew up, it was referred to as Awful House. Can't believe that was never mentioned in this thread. Thought it was pretty universal. Can't imagine eating there unless totally drunk after the bars close down.

This place is transfixed with bad food n eating out lately. Everyone is either way ahead and lost all that Christmas fat or else we have some folks heading for heart attacks this year.

Yeah, I've heard that shameful derogatory phrase before.

You say what you like here on the innerwebs, but at my house, that sort of talk isn't allowed. The Waffle House is a fine establishment serving good food to good people.

I hear they comp your meal if you put a few dollars in the juke box and play "Good Food Fast" over and over.

How do we feel about IHOP?
Brand new one opened up about a mile or two down the street, we wanted breakfast at night last week and gave it a shot. I wanted pancakes and they were just OK. When I was young I seem to remember being able to see into the kitchen and it was pretty greasy but you could smell everything. The food came from the back, never saw a kitchen, no real emulating smell of the food, we were fairly unimpressed and likely won't be returning.

We also are appalled that a place that names itself International House of Pancakes does not have any maple syrup on the premise s but rather an array of Strawberry/Blueberry/Plain syrup that would seem better suited for McDonald's.
