would you recommend it over the Terrain? (or are those essentially the same vehicle?)Check out the Chevy Equinox. Was all new in 2009 and is getting great reviews (and 32 MPG HWY).
Maybe a little more expensive than you're looking for but I've been driving a Subaru Outback from Zipcar lately and it's pretty nice.
I have a Forrester and love itWe also have a mini van
Manfredi doesnt have a Subaru store anymore. I got it from Staten Island Subaru which Im sure is the same shop with a different name now.Maybe a little more expensive than you're looking for but I've been driving a Subaru Outback from Zipcar lately and it's pretty nice.I have a Forrester and love itWe also have a mini van
I was able to get my Forrester for 18,500 using fighting chance. Got it from Manfredi on Staten Island (is that where you looked shady)
Essentially the same, with different exterior designs. My wife actually likes the GMC Terrain better.would you recommend it over the Terrain? (or are those essentially the same vehicle?)Check out the Chevy Equinox. Was all new in 2009 and is getting great reviews (and 32 MPG HWY).
Those aren't in his price range.Honda CR-V EX. This is the correct choice.I'm looking myself and I've been looking at the Nissan Moreno, Mazda CR7/9, Honda Pilot, and Chevy Traverse.
rented one last week and have to see I was impressed. Bought my daughter a Honda CRV the week before.Check out the Chevy Equinox. Was all new in 2009 and is getting great reviews (and 32 MPG HWY).

What he said. I've been eyeing a used 4 runner and they aint cheap. If you are going with the Pilot, or 4-runner or even the Chevy's listed, you will be buying extremely used at the 15-20K price range. If price isn't an issue I would go with the Pilot.
Yea, it is pretty big but my sister had one and my wife liked it. For whatever reason it did not seem 'too big' for her.Armada is hardly a small/mid size SUV. Pretty big - 3rd row seating. V-8 is the only option. Plus, you are looking at 50K or more with decent options new. My wife has been eyeing this one up for a while now.
4Runners are pretty pricey aren't they? I have not really put a lot of thought into them as my perception is that you are not getting a lot of bang for buck. Am I wrong?4runner. Roomy enough for your stuff, not as big as an F150, decent MPG, reliable as they come.
We will likely go with lightly used on the purchase. If you are going with the Pilot, or 4-runner or even the Chevy's listed, you will be buying extremely used at the 15-20K price range. If price isn't an issue I would go with the Pilot.
What is the GMC equivalent to the Equinox?Check out the Chevy Equinox. Was all new in 2009 and is getting great reviews (and 32 MPG HWY).My sister got one and loves it. Great MPG too.
I know nothing about Aspen. Actually never even heard of it. To be honest, Chrysler scares the heck out of me. How many miles?I will sell you a 2008 Chrysler Aspen for $20,000.
Terrain or Acadia, pretty sure both cost more. Maybe Al can fill us in on that one. What is the GMC equivalent to the Equinox?Check out the Chevy Equinox. Was all new in 2009 and is getting great reviews (and 32 MPG HWY).My sister got one and loves it. Great MPG too.
The are nice vehicles, but not so good on fuel.I know nothing about Aspen. Actually never even heard of it. To be honest, Chrysler scares the heck out of me. How many miles?I will sell you a 2008 Chrysler Aspen for $20,000.
Ok, for whatever odd reason, I looked at those and not the Chevy versions.Terrain or Acadia, pretty sure both cost more. I am leaning towards the good on fuel (comparatively for the category at least) so I don't think I am interested (on top of my aversion to Chrysler). The are nice vehicles, but not so good on fuel.I know nothing about Aspen. 43,xxx miles. It has the Hemi V8, which can get around 20MPG highway, but not so good around town. It really is a nice vehicle. I want to sell it to get a truck.I know nothing about Aspen. Actually never even heard of it. To be honest, Chrysler scares the heck out of me. How many miles?I will sell you a 2008 Chrysler Aspen for $20,000.
More miles than I am looking for. Since this will be the Mommymobile, I am looking for better MPG than power.43,xxx miles. I am going to guess my wife is not going to like the looks but I will add that to the 'give a look to' list.I have a 2010 forester and its by far the best vehicle ive ever owned. It's roomy (I'm 6'3" and fat), amazing in the upstate NY snow and not terrible on gas either. Also liked that it didn't seem to have as many blind spots as the Rav-4 or CRV.
The wife thinks that they are ugly. So, not an option.Just bought a Kia Soul. Perfect for around town....very safe, and awesome gas mileage
I'm traveling on business right now and am driving a brand new Journey (6 miles on it) and I really like it so far. I will be in the market for something similar in the net 6 months to a year so I started reading about them this afternoon. How long have you had it? I've read a lot of reviews that quite often it won't start. I've also read that the gas mileage isn't as advertised (19/25) and tires need to be replaced at 15-20,000. Have you had any issues at all?I have a Dodge Journey and I love it...
I wanted to look at the Flex but my wife does not like how it looks. So, not an option. The Edge is very interesting to me.I've done a lot of research in this market and decided to go with a Ford Flex. Not in the same class as the small SUV, but it's exactly what we are looking for. Now that we've narrowed our search down to what we want, just need to find one and make the plunge!
