Really? Not a single team has clinched in either of my three leagues.A lot of us have clinched the playoffs at this point. What defenses are worth hoarding up for the playoff run?
Their run defense has been their strength of late. But it's very hard to trust them after seeing how bad they played at home against a pretty awful Seattle offense this past Sunday. Julius Jones ran all over them and they couldn't force Seneca Wallace into any turnovers and they nearly lost the game at home, giving up a scoring drive late. I was surprised at how badly they played.Obvious sleeper based on schedule is the Dolphins, but I don't like their run defense.
Definitely Indy. They are probably the best answer to this question since they are available in a good number of leagues and should be better going forward as they are getting healthy with Sanders back. And also as mentioned, their playoff schedule is awesome.Colts, they're looking better with Bob Sanders back and have the Bungles and Lions weeks 14 and 15. I know the Jags are a mess right now but I'd seek out an alternative for week 16 if you can, Jacksoville always plays Indy tough.
yea...i picked up SD in my one league to play against KC and was very disappointed with the results .... obviously OAK is a better opponent than KC given their QB situation ... i think i am going to drop SD, though, this week in favor of IND for the week 14 matchup ... i know they lost Merriman, but the SD defense has fallen a long way this seasonnice suggestions, though, of some off the beaten path sneaky play defensesIndy is a great call, already mentioned a few times. A few other juicy matchups.
week 14:
OAK @ SD - yes SD is getting dropped in some of my leagues
NYJ @ SF - As hot as they've been, they might not be available, but the D against SF is looking great as an everyweek play
week 15:
MIA @ SF
SEA @ STL - Looks like STL has given up again
week 16:
SF @ STL - take your pick
CIN @ CLE - remember you also get Josh Cribbs, who is getting hot.
I bit on these guys and they failed miserably last week. Considering what a miserable team they were playing, they did a terrible job.Obvious sleeper based on schedule is the Dolphins, but I don't like their run defense.
This obviously depends in your league scoring, but the Redskins have done absolutely nothing in my league. They are 31st in D/ST...only ahead of Detroit. For the rest of the season I like the combo of Bills and Colts...11 Bills vs Browns 12 Bills at Chiefs 13 Bills vs 49ers or Colts at Browns14 Colts vs Bengals15 Colts vs Lions16 Bills at Broncos or Colts at JaguarsNo love for the Redskins (Bal, Cin, Phi)?
New York's defense is near tops in the league with 31 sacks. 9 ints, 4 return for td, 14 FFgames coming up against the Patriots, 49ers, Broncos, Bills and Seahawks, Last 6 weeks they have been solid except for the Oakland Raiders game which is an anomaly This is the Defensive team no one is talking about.I have the Jets now and they have been great. Went to pick up Indy today and they were gone. The Skins are available though, not sure what to do.
i doubt san diego will ever figure it out. they scare me big time, i'll probably just do a defense by committee in the playoffsEach week I keep telling myself that SanDiego will turn it around and each week they keep failing me but I'm currently the highest scoring team even with them doing nothing so I'm going to continue holding out hope for SD in 14-16 against Oak, @KC & @TB
We are penalized for yards against as well as points, so SD has been a friggin nightmare for me.Currently own MIA/SD, dropping SD this week for IND, then dropping MIA for NO to play after IND's stretch of CLE/CIN/DET...Each week I keep telling myself that SanDiego will turn it around and each week they keep failing me but I'm currently the highest scoring team even with them doing nothing so I'm going to continue holding out hope for SD in 14-16 against Oak, @KC & @TB
