SNL is Friggin' Horrible! Except when Timberlake is hosting. (2 Viewers)

The "dirty talk" skit had me crying... again, super high...

as an aside... is she hot or not? her voice is repulsive... but otherwise?
Her regular voice always sounds like she's trying to do a weird voice/character. I guess it came in handy for her Owen Wilson impression, though.

I watched his sitcom on Netflix (Master of None) and a couple of standup specials. I think he's pretty funny.
He's great in Master of None. Like a lot of comedy and comedians, it's usually pretty subjective. I can see where someone doesn't like his voice or his comedy but MoN is entertaining.

Ansari is a naturally funny & creative guy and i loooove how successfully he refuses to be ethnicized - from his name & attitude in Parks&Rec to avoiding Indianizing the "Beat the Bookworm" sketch on SNL - but he has no idea how irritating he can get and i can't call someone missing that kind of self-awareness a real entertainer

Who do you classify as a real entertainer then? Because I can think of quite a few that go "over the top" and lack the ability or awareness to rein it in.

He was great in Parks & Rec and I liked (though not as much) him in the Netflix series.

His standup is aimed at a much different audience than me - millennial day-to-day stuff.  It just doesn't click for me.

I surf my insecurity & instability til i find myself beached upon your shores, then make an unpleasant noise and run into the crowd.

This is where I am.  I think Aziz can be pretty funny from what I've seen, but he's not as funny as he thinks he is.

Every time I see her, I think she's hot...then she talks and I hear Ray Romano doing a chick's voice and my junk immediately turtles up.

The jokes were good.  The delivery was poor.

Overall, the episode was so-so. The monologue was decent, and the bookworm sketch was the only complete bomb. I didn't mind the "To Sir With Love" rendition (aside from the pitchiness).  This isn't the news; I don't expect SNL to be nonpartisan.
There's being nonpartisan and there's being ... whatever that was.

i think trump is an assclown and love them slaying in update and elsewhere, but I just found that song cringeworthy.  You can be partisan without showing worship for someone.

Kind of interesting considering that snl was never able to find any angle for an Obama impression/character which is so out of step for the show.

That and a Totinos are gold!  They are brutulaizing Trump. Open war.  Plus Stewart with a monologue F-Bomb.  Whoops.  And she looks insanely good BTW.

fun episode going into news.
Really becoming a big fan of Michael Che.  Loved his Super Bowl bit closing Weekend Update.

With you 100% on that pizza rolls ad.  This era usually does one pizza rolls ad a season, and they have gotten more surreal.

I'm about 30 minutes in and I'm surprisingly entertained by tonight's episode but for the love of God...I'm so fuucking tired of the anti-Trump bulllshiit.

We get it...damn.

Where the hell was all this political BS over the last 8 years?

It's just tiresome.

Melissa McCarthy is killing this skit...wow.

I really liked the musical guest this week, which is pretty rare when I have absolutely no idea who they are going in.

McCarthy stole the night with the Spicer bit.

Did Che lose the ability to talk after his travel ban bit (which was really good)?

Stewart as Gisele...momma mia.

Totinos was a laugh and Melissa McCarthy was PERFECT, but I thought the rest was as brutal as it gets.  I used to argue with my gb Upside about K Stewart though.. I can't stand her for a second.  At the same time, would issue no orders that block her from entering my pants.

Michael Che lost it... back on the hot seat bubba

** Family Feud and Big Papi are ALWAYS funny.. this time the writing was garbage and they flopped.  Still McCarthy was huge enough to call the whole thing a success.  That was just out of the blue and amazing. Who knew it was the role she was born to play?

Wrong!  Baldwin's Trump is hysterical because it's not that far off from the real thing.
It's fine.  I liked it for a while, was actually pretty perfect for the debates but I don't think the big face poses work so much in the White House setting.  Is he going to do this for four+ years?  Too bad they don't have any go-to male cast members, maybe they should let a chick try

Episode wasn't bad and at no time did I want to bail early.  Opening monologue about the Pattinson tweets was good, Totinos was hilarious with the surprising turn it took on an old standby, the Big Papi Little Scissors bit got me to laugh and of course, McCarthy was pretty great... especially when she took the podium into the crowd.

I didn't know much about Alessia Cara but I was actually impressed with her.

Also, were they showcasing Pete Davidson for a trade?  Most screen time he's had in awhile.
