So hungover this morning I accidently wore two different shoes (1 Viewer)

You should go back to the office, park your car across the street and wait for her to come out at the end of her work day. Follow her home and walk up to her before she gets to her apartment and ask if she has had enough time to think about going out with you. Whether she gives you a yes, no or maybe ask for a single strand of her hair.

I never said it was you doing the calling.  It was the calls.  If you don't think that the situation was odd yesterday, you are mistaken.  I hope this works out for you but you should be learning from your missteps no matter what happens next

You left the clinic and then called there.  The call went poorly and you hung up on the doc.

The office manager called you.  The call went poorly and you hung up on her.

Juliet called you back.

The transport company fired me in the most unprofessional manner. The other dispatchers put in a report on me .

1. Stepped away from the desk too much.

The only times ones I ever stepped away was if asked to get something or to use the bathroom. They switched my schedule 3 times in 6 days. 3pm-1am then 12pm to 11pm them 10pm to 8 am. They only informed me the mornings of the days they switched it so I was exhausted the entire week and I was slamming coffee and energy drinks and it caused me to pee a lot.

2. I used a company phone charger.

It was right next to the desk we worked at. I used it a couple of times a day. Nobody said anything about it otherwise I would have gotten the one in my car.

3. I refused to move a truck in the yard.

I didn't refused. Before accepting the position I informed them my only professional experience was with standard box trucks and vans and that I would need training on the B class straight trucks. I attempted to move the truck but had to inform the dispatcher of what I spoke about with the manager and I didn't want to damage the equipment.

Most unprofessional and disrespectful company I ever worked for. Nobody spoke to me about anything they just terminated me. It was obviously personal so they made up whatever they could. I could tell the female dispatcher didn't like me but I just figured she had a bad attitude because she talked crap about everyone there so I paid it no mind. I seemingly got along great with the male dispatcher but I was informed he complained as well.

I called up the insurance company and I am meeting with them for my third interview tomorrow. Got nothing to lose at this point so I figure it's worth a shot. Maybe I will excel at it.

If not I'm going to take advice on here and not bother with CL for job searches. I'll try indeed and hopefully encounter more professional employers.

I informed unemployment I started a new job. Will it hurt me if I reapply after being terminated from this job after 6 days for the above reasons?

They let you go, there shouldn't be a problem with unemployment unless they have a reason. It takes a huge reason too, stealing, not coming into work, things like that. Plus they have to fight it when you reapply. A lot of employees won't take the time.

They would be lying if they said anything like that. I was there and did what I had to do. Most people probably would have quit after the 3rd schedule change.

Unless they want to say I was stealing electricity charging my phone which after this BS I wouldnt put anything past that company. I'm spitting mad and never experienced anything like this even when I was younger at menial jobs.

Even if they lie unemployment won't just take their word for it and will investigate. The problem is that can take up to 12 weeks.

People come and go at transport companies. They are all revolving doors. I imagine they are contacted by unemployment every week.

I was contacted almost weekly when I was in staffing.

Go back to the clinic and see if your lady friend can pull some strings, maybe do some janitorial work there - I got a feeling, that would be a good gig. Lots of good RnR stories too.

Ever thought about becoming an OTR trucker, OP? If you can make it a couple years you should be in decent shape afterwards.
I don't have a class A license. I only have a class B and no experience. Even if I did It seems like like 99% of companies won't hire you without 1-2 years experience. If I can't afford the trucking school fees my only option would be signing on with a few of the large national carriers that train (swift, shneider, CR England etc). The catch is you have to sign on with them for 1 year at long hours and low wages.

Were I a younger man it's something I might consider even knowing the catches. But I'm 33 and I want to meet a woman and start a family soon. Going OTR would prevent me from pursueing that and I may not be too happy on the job.

If I had the cash I would go train for my

class A now and try to find one of the few carriers that would take on a greenhorn.

Sounds like while this is aggravating, it was probably for the best. If they were jerking you around schedule-wise and you didn't get on with the other employees, it probably wasn't the right spot for you. Hopefully this gig you're interviewing for will be a better fit for you.

Advice from Cat Stevens -

It's not time to make a change
Just relax, take it easy
You're still young, that's your fault
There's so much you have to know
Find a girl, settle down
If you want you can marry
Look at me, I am old, but I'm happy

I was once like you are now, and I know that it's not easy
To be calm when you've found something going on
But take your time, think a lot
Why, think of everything you've got
For you will still be here tomorrow
But your dreams may not

You need to get your #### together. Do you have any type of degree or are currently in school? There's nothing wrong with jumping around between a bunch of jobs you don't see as a career but do you have any type of longterm career path?

Chicks generally don't go for unskilled dudes with no money. Loneliness and poverty go hand-in-hand.

This discussion just got turned up a notch.

You mean you two are not the same person?

Rock solid advice.  Could you video tape this and post it to youtube?  Preferably with your Walgreen vest on with all the bling?

Decided not to go to the insurance interview.

You should reconsider your decision on this. As of right now, our government is attempting to repeal and replace Obamacare. If this occurs, you're going to see a mad rush of people looking for new healthcare plans that you could be selling them. Insurance sales come with residuals that stack up for years and years.

Granted, it takes awhile to get the ball rolling but once you've got a book of business, it's generally easy street. Just something to consider because there's about to be a HUGE demand in this market if Republicans can get legislation passed.

I'm not an insurance salesman.

So do you have two different computers that you are logged into at the same time? One for RnR and the other for Eminence? Or do you just log out and in each time you have to post?

When you are getting life advice from Eminence, there is only one thing to do.

Abort, Abort and move on to Alias# whatever.

I just got a notice that Eminence had replied to my post and then immediately it was gone. Hmmmmm, perhaps it was deleted quickly after he forgot who was logged in and posted as the wrong alias?

I had immediate regret responding to someone with the username "Beef Ravioli".
