4 Int. and not running and driving to try and get the first down?Instead 5 yards over line He throws the ball????????? Favre throws another game, wish I saw this one coming. :wall:

 Those sentences are too broken for me to understand. What is this guy saying?
Just keep betting on G.B. with Favre at QB,I have no problem taking your money. :rotflmao: Understand that? :yucky:

Hey Warhogs, who you betting on this week?I need some extra cash. :rotflmao:
I don't think he did. He just takes too many chances and a couple of the INTs weren't his fault.
The play in Question is His toss to Walker.Favre knows it's 3rd down and the Pack need to get to the 3. He's 5 yards over the line at the 5 and 2 yards away. He dives and at worst gets stopped short. Then on 4th they would have went for it,but I guess He would have fumbled the snap so what does it matter anyway? :wall:

I am not a Favre apologist at all and that play at the goal line was a pathetic display. I don't know which was more pathetic, though, the play or the announcers' reactions.

ohhhh that's loveable kooky FARVE for ya!!!! hahahahaha* *(cue in the three clowns in the broadcast booth laughing their arses off)Could you imagine if Randy Moss took a reverse then 5 yards after the line of scrimage throws a ball into the endzone?? You know Buck would have said:"That's one of the dumbest plays I have ever seen"By the way, if Buck knew what the background story was about Moss's mooning..he would have known that MIN players when leaving on a bus get mooned from the GB fans.

Thanks, you should take a look at this thread and scroll to the bottom of it where I mention in todays SI Best/Worst commentators this was said about The FOX #1 group (Collingsworth, Buck and Aikman):http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index...howtopic=139609"So why aren't they even lower? Because these are bright guys who are OK when they're in their province, which is the passing game, and I had them at three stars, right until the Minnesota-Green Bay wild-card contest. That one dropped 'em. Brett Favre apologists abound, but when the guy screws it up, for God's sake say it, don't cop out every time. No interception was his fault; it was always the guy running the pattern. How about the one where he overthrew Javon Walker, and Collinsworth said Walker had screwed it up because he was supposed to run a flat pattern instead of going downfield? Uh, if Favre were expecting him to run to the flat, instead of downfield, he would have underthrown the ball, not overthrown it. And then when Favre pulled that weirdie at the end of the half, near the Vikings goal line, running three yards past the line and underhanding it to Walker in the end zone ... and drawing a penalty...and then laughing about it. We heard this from Collinsworth: "The funniest part was Walt Anderson, the referee, could barely make the call without laughing." Hey, I watched Anderson, too, and I didn't see the hint of a smile. And the guys on the Packers weren't laughing after Ryan Longwell missed the subsequent field goal. This is what is known as dishonest reporting. But when Randy Moss caught the fourth-quarter TD and treated the Packer crowd to a dry moon that lasted exactly one second, that's all, we had to listen to this blather from Buck, who got his panties all in a knot: "That is a disgusting act by Randy Moss and it's unfortunate that we had that on our air live." Well, if no one would get to see it, then how could you get anyone to agree with you, Joe Baby? But the thinking of a guy like this extends only so far."

Some people thought Favre laid down for Michael Strahan to get the sack record, so it's not the first time Favre has been accused of tanking, but tanking a playoff game? When his career is reaching an end? And all he wants is to win one more so he can retire? The only way that's even imaginable is if someone had something on him ala the Jordan rumors, or there were some kind of reciprocal promise that other teams would tank later so he could make the Superbowl, and the whole sport was fixed. I can't see him doing it for money, and both of those are such a long shot that I think it's more likely he just lost it for a minute.

who knows, none of us know him personally but his past isn't anything stellar (even said if he was his wife he would have left him - drugs and cheating?)??? I wouldn't think he threw a game but I think he gets frustrated so instead of working to get them into the game and get a win, he starts doing stupid things. Throws up balls 'wishing' they don't get intercepted. If they do then it isn't his fault if they get caught then he gets all the credit...can't lose! For YEARS how he can be deemed one of the best QB in a traditionally weak NFC with great WR and a top RB, he should have more than two SB appearances. There are no excuses to lose to MIN, Phily, ATL the last three years. I don't think many HOF type QBs would come out 0-3 with the talent Farve has. And if anyone wants to blame the defense well then what do you say about this last game, MIN defense was worse so why couldn't Farve rip them to shreads? He is over - rated.

When did you stop talking about Favre and talk about Culpepper or Manning?Other than Sterling Sharpe, who retired, name a single receiver who has left Green Bay and not seen his stats not only drop, but drop DRASTICALLY when he had someone other than Favre throwing him the ball?

Javon Walker is the only WR Favre has thrown to who has any hope of being worthy of the term "great", and it is still way too early to tell if he has the talent to earn that on his own, or whether he's just another Freeman, Schroeder, Bradford, etc.

Culpepper and Farve are never talked about as high or worshiped as much as Farve, not even close. The media holds Farve as 'one of THE BEST QB OF THE MODERN NFL' this isn't true, in fact, a stronger case is made that he is one of THE WORST QB in BIG TIME PLAYOFF GAMES. As for Peyton, I also don't remember too many games that Peyton has lost when they were favored big time or have choked big time playoff games.

They lost at home vs TEN when TEN went to the SB. They have lost to NE on the road when NE has gone to the SB. Since he has come into his own, he hasn't lost a game where they were supposed to win. If he lost against DEN this year and last I would rank that equal to Farve losing to MIN and ATL at home.

Basically, Peyton BEATS the teams that are below them, not play down to them and chokes or makes stupid decisions (as in running 5 yards past the line then throws it and laughs or lobs up balls hoping they get caught, etc.)

I don't think ANYONE in the media would overrate DCulp as they do with Farve. If they do then DCulp should get ripped the same.

As for your WR question, I don't follow or that isn't relevant. You can't compare someone's worth by the players that leave and haven't produced as well. Does that mean Steve Young stinks because Owens is much better playing with McNabb? I don't think your WR question holds water.

What I would ask is why can't Farve with a TOP NFC RB AND TWO WR WHO HAD OVER 1200 REC YARDS not get past a crappy defense AT HOME?

The answer seems to be that Farve can pad his stats vs. the bottom tier teams in the regular season but when it counts he folds.

Mr Vegas-this is without question one of the dumbest suggestions I've heard in a while. You obviuosly have a hard on for Favre. Or is it the announcers? Maybe both. It's clear you've got issues these guys but why you would suggest such an accusation is reprehensible. It's funny how ClearCream says "no one knows him personally" yet you seem to. You seem to know what he was doing-throwing the game. And exactly how do you know that? You're just making accusations. Dude, whatever credibility you may of had on this board before is undoubtedly lost after these posts. Even if he did throw the game-which I highly doubt, you don't know that but yet you are willing to make the accusation anyway. That says a great deal about you. PS-Do you work for ESPN?

Also just trying to open your minds to what looks to me as a 'throw game'.The Rams game as well, playoff game.First we all know games have been fixed, once we can get by that then we can talk about games Farve has fixed. If not oh well. Live with blinders on.

This would be a much better argument if the writer (not the poster) could be as factually correct as he expects announcers to be. The pass to Walker WAS underthrown. Way to change the facts to fit your argument.

I honestly don't know why I'm bothering to reply to this, but what the hell:1. During Favre's career, the "traditionally weak NFC" has 62 percent of the Super Bowls. It's clearly been the dominant conference during his career.2. Favre has rarely played with a "great WR." In fact, he's only played with 3 that got to the Pro Bowl (Sharpe, Freeman and now Walker) and of those three only Sharpe can truly be considered great. Freeman flamed out after getting his big contract and Walker's career is just getting started. It's amazing the stuff you come up with to try and rip on Favre that has zero basis in reality. It's entertaining, though, I'll give you that. :P
