For some people they may not be willing to get added to a list. They may want to wait until you are committed to leaving, or they may want to contribute anonymously. Why are you making this a big production? Either accept the buyout offer or don't. But don't use this as another reason to pad your post count and f up another thread.

really fascinated that people ##### that there are posters who post at 10x the rate if others and clog up threads, yet these posters have 10x the people engaging them in silly arguments as well.

Tim doesn't start as many threads as he used to, but it wasn't too long ago when I might have been willing to chip in a bit to segregate him to a single FFA thread and stop starting 10 new threads a day. He's gotten better, but it's still a pretty impressive timtangent that got kicked off in this thread.

For the record, I didn't bring me up in this thread. And I didn't bring up paying me to leave either. Also I have never started close to 10 threads in a day.

Tim used to start a few threads everyday about some topic he heard discussed or popped into his head. It was a bit annoying. Posting a lot is not an issue to me.
because most of the time there was already a perfectly good thread going on for the same topic. but he had to have his own thread for any topic that came to mind. just seemed excessive and tended to flood the first page of the FFA with timtopics.

Yeah still not seeing it. As i recall I can scroll past and only check the threads I am responding in if I am not interested. Especially over and over and over. And here's something if no one responds because the thread is so offensive to their tender souls as I recall it drops off the front page. Such a stupid thing to let bother you to the point some here have.
good luck getting people to "not respond" to tim or anyone who posts that much.

During the day always sober. After inhaling a few moments ago less so. I have been told more than once my personality changes on alcohol but not pot. I have been told I am even more me when smoking. And I rarely drink these days. Literally been years since my last alcoholic beverage.

Occasionally when browsing the website my wife will read along over my shoulder. Tim is one of her favorite people to read. Now keep in mind this is a woman who when after watching Gravity on tv the other night asked me why George Clooney didn't stay in that ship with sandra bullock (the part after he drifted away when he knocked on the window, came in and drank the vodka).
part of it is, sure. if everybody kept asking him to stop starting so many threads and he consistently ignored those requests, why wouldn't it?
anyway, newtim doesn't do this. just because you don't have a problem with anyone posting 200 times/day and starting 5 to 10 new threads/day doesn't necessarily mean that everybody else should share your views on message board protocol. my point is if several other posters started acting the same way and posting that much, the board would quickly become unreadable.
different people have different posting styles. I get that. But when someone posts a ton and draws lots of attention, it can bring the overall quality down. It's not all that person's fault, but often the easiest solution is to ask them to change something rather than trying to get everybody else to not respond. people wanted to ignore LHUCKS too, but it never worked. board got a lot better since he was booted imo.
But in this day and age of I.P spoofing and what not, are you sure he is really booted?
if he's still around under a new alias, he's much less of a tool than he used to be so it wouldn't matter to me.
I don't think he ever posted under another account though.

Other boards don't seem to have our fascination with preserving pixel space by building ever bigger threads full of tangents loosely related to the original topic. I think people may need a new hobby if Tim gets to them that bad. Or Hucks for that matter. Lots of entertainment in a Hucks thread.

There's only room for so many threads on the front page. That's not usually an issue, because like you said, the marketplace of ideas should keep the good threads bumped and let the bad threads die. But this is one big mashup of a forum. We have specialized threads up to or over a million views. There are guys who have never been to the gambling thread, or the soccer thread, or the NBA thread, or the ran a 10K thread, or the Clash of Clans thread (which I was afraid to go into because I thought it had game of thrones spoilers). But those threads are always, ALWAYS on the first or second page of the FFA. There's a 66 page thread on pro wrestling that I never even noticed until just now. There's a clique thread that was started by one of our best and longest tenured posters that has a bunch of old school posters in it. There's a thread about each and every television show someone watches here, and some of them have to have two threads because there's books out there and people don't want to hear spoilers. There's a thread about each movie, too. And so on.There's 50 threads on the front page and 50 more on page two. If you want to discuss something and it falls off page two, you'd better get some eyes on it quick or be willing to bump it yourself a couple hours from now. That's annoying. It's more annoying when there's 22 distinct threads about politics on the first two pages. And it's way more annoying when six of those threads are started by the same guy.
You might ask why reddit works and the FFA seems to have a huge problem with this - it's the subreddits. There's no subforums to the FFA. It took a decade to get a baseball forum, and those guys still post threads over here when they want to talk about the really BIG news. There's a werewolf forum, but it's hosted on another website and they still post threads here when they want new blood. There's a whining and dirty words and pictures forum but again that's hosted at another site and it's pretty much dead except for the pictures that rule thread. But there's no politics form, no TV shows forum, no movies or music or other forums. It's just one big mishmosh. And that leads to people getting annoyed with the tims or zippy's or bluemagics and eminences. It's just part of the deal.

I read that he's back under a different name. I was surprised when I learned this because, even though I didn't follow a lot of the lhucks stuff, this poster didn't remind me of lhucks very much.
