Some silly stats (1 Viewer)

No WR has managed more than 81 yards against the Colts this season.

The Colts have only allowed ONE WR (Mark Clayton) more than 50 yards in their last nine games (I think that's just an incredible stat).

BUT...

Seven different TEs have scored TDs against the Colts this season, and

On eight occasions a TE has been the leading receiver against the Colts this season.

Conclusion:

Big day for Des Clark, whose most productive game of the season by far was against the Bucs cover 2 (7-125, 2 TDs).

Great post...

...especially six hours before Clark led the Bears with both receptions and receiving yards.

Not to rain on my own parade, but that was just a lucky call rather than an inspired one. Clark was a non-factor until garbage time. However, the issue about WRs struggling against the Colts cover 2 is very valid. Yet again no WR got 50 yards. That's nine games out of the last ten. I reckon that's probably quite a rare feat in NFL terms - to hold very opposition WRE under 50 yards in nine out of ten games. And of course they haven't given up more than 81 yards all year to a WR.
