Songs / music that suddenly goes from calm to intense (2 Viewers)

I can't do youtube here at work but some of the older suicidal tendencies songs are like that
C'mon, guy...just admit that the bar (or cantina) you are currently in gets ####ty youtube connection, so you cant link currently, or correctly.

Good Morning, Captain - Slint

It's the textbook definition of hpnotic slow, building to crescendo. I'm surprised that there was no mention already of it.

Here's an old school classic.  Da Funk by Daft Punk fits your description well.   It starts off fairly basic and simple--and by the end of the song-it's basically an electronic symphony.    It also doesn't have any words--it's literally an instrumental--so you really be flexible in how you use it.

Another really good song is : Magdalena by A Perfect Circle.  Has a very chill/laid back first 2 minutes--and from about the 2:30 minute part until the end it really gathers a lot of energy.

If you want a couple that are a bit more on alternative/electronic side

Garbage-Push It

Garbage- Hammering in my head

NIN- Perfect Drug has a pretty rad ending. Climactic but with a chill wind down at the final moments.

TRex - Get it On

Television - Marquee Moon

There's also a few Stereolab tracks that I could recommend but I'm pretty sure that no one likes Stereolab the way I do.

ETA - the classic "Bohemian Rhapsody" is built for this very purpose, even if it is not alt-tech-EDM

title of the thread said "suddenly goes from calm to intense"... a lot of the slow & quiet building to something else- are those also what the OP was looking for?
