SPECIAL TEAMS > Scoring with ST seperate from DT? (1 Viewer)

New to a 16 Team Keeper (1) League where we start the following:

QB/RB/WR/TE/FLEX/K/TD/ST

What kind of impact does this have in the league? I'm thinking that there isn't any major value to be had to reach early on for this position early on but was curious if others had played in a similar league structure.

Also.. does anyone know where there is a ranking of projected special teams stats that might be remotely reliable? What teams present good value?

Never played in a league that had seperate Special Teams scoring....

SCORING TABLE (is this typical?)

KRYd - Kick Return Yards (ID/ST/DST)

0 - 20 KRYds = 2 points

21 - 40 KRYds = 4 points

41 - 60 KRYds = 6 points

61 - 80 KRYds = 8 points

81 - 100 KRYds = 10 points

101 - 120 KRYds = 12 points

121 - 140 KRYds = 14 points

141 - 160 KRYds = 16 points

161+ KRYds = 18 points

PRYd - Punt Return Yards (ID/ST/DST)

0 - 20 PRYds = 2 points

21 - 40 PRYds = 4 points

41 - 60 PRYds = 6 points

61 - 80 PRYds = 8 points

81 - 100 PRYds = 10 points

101 - 120 PRYds = 12 points

121 - 140 PRYds = 14 points

141 - 160 PRYds = 16 points

161+ PRYds = 18 points

STTD - Special Teams TD 6 points

Other scoring is typical (6pt TDs / 10yds/pt for rush/rec / 20yds/pt for passing)

I realize this isn't a thread about Reggie Bush or comparing LJ to LT as who's the best #1 overall pick.... but surely someone out there has played in a league that counts ST stats....

I play in one like that.

1. Scoring is very fluky. It's not like you can really predict return yards, especially on a game-by-game basis.

2. Teams with crappy defenses do well because they have a lot of kickoff returns.
