Spencer Ware, possibly the new work horse (2 Viewers)

I've been trying to pry Ware away from an owner who is deep at RB (he has DJohnson, Gordon and Gore as well and we can start 3) with a WR since I'm deep there (Jordy, KBenjamin, Edelman,Cobb, Moncrief and Beasley).  He's not really biting on anything behind Jordy, would you guys trade Jordy for Ware?

Scoring is different in this league in that it's 1ppr and also 0.5 per carry.

Just my opinion, but I would pull the trigger on that trade. You have depth at WR and Ware is a top 10 RB when healthy.

My TE Rudolph is not doing well lately.  I am strongly considering trading McCoy for Ware and Eifert.  I really like McCoy's schedule after the bye but at 4-5 I need to win 3 out of the next 4 to make the playoffs.

I'm in a similar boat with rudolph.  part of me wants to hold

I would do the Nelson one especially in that scoring format.  Keeper?

On that note, what is Ware's roll next year?  More importantly, what's everyone's opinion on JC returning and Ware going back to handcuff?

I do realize it all comes down to JC's health ...

It's just a feeling I have, but I see Ware being "the guy" here and Charles moving on or retiring. They have him under contract for practically nothing over the next 2 years and he's proven that he's very productive in both the running game and receiving. Andy Reed's offense is RB heaven, I'd feel pretty good in dynasty formats owning Ware.

Anyone think Ware gets the majority of carries this week?

And moving forward, any concerns about West/Ware splitting carries even when Ware is 100%?

He accepted.  I give D Book and Dion.  Accept S Ware.  I was pushing to have H Hunter added in, but it didn't work.  So I accepted a 2 for 1.

Do this trade as well.

Why? He had a concussion and has been cleared. It's not like his returning from a long layoff while recovering from a knee injury.
I could be wrong of course. It's just a gut feeling that they will be splitting 50/50 his first game back. The poster I originally responded to also has Howard and I feel like Howard should get the nod over Ware based on the amount of carries he had in his last game among other things.

Now that Ware has been cleared I have to keep one of these guys on the bench. Forte, Ingram or Ware.

Am I crazy for leaning Ware to the bench?

Not really crazy wanting to see Ware back for a week before playing him but Ingram is tough to play against Denver and splitting carries with Hightower.

Hightower bothers me but the Denver defense doesn’t.

They are ranked 29th in rushing yards per game plus I think Derek Wolfe is going to miss the game this week. The Saints offense is pretty good when in the dome

Tough call...I would hedge sitting Ingram. I just think Ware is too darn good. Both Forte and Ware will most likely see a bigger split in their favor, where Ingram is in a 50/50 usage now? Btw...I have a similar dillemma. Start Ware or Ingram as my second RB? Jordon Howard gets my other nod. So, all these guys are either low end RB #1 or high end RB #2.

I wouldn't be afraid of the Denver run D at all, especially on the road.  And they have to respect Brees, so should be big gaps up the middle.  I have both Ware and Hightower so don't have to decide.  Starting them both.  Actually expect NO to have more success as a team running the ball than KC on the road.  But it could be more Ingram than Hightower.

Am I a fool for benching over Ivory? I can't see KC winning this game and just feels like they are going to get behind in this game. No Maclin or Justin Houston for Sunday.

There's no way I bench Ware for Ivory ever. Better player and situation. Even when the Panthers had a great defense last year you could still run on them down the stretch.

Really debating about putting Ware in as my flex. 8 team league so lots of choices: JStewart, Hyde, even Allen Robinson (riding bench against HOU - starting JMatthews yikes). Worried that Ware is eased back in unlike JStew who will get his carries.

Ware is coming back from a concussion, not a high ankle sprain or knee injury. There is literally no reason to "ease" him back in as you may to help a guy knock off some rust or because he's playing at 80%.

This may be a tougher matchup, but have no hesitation starting Ware -- he'll get the work. KC will need to establish the run to prevent CAR from putting nickle and dime looks out there to help back up their horrific defensive backfield.

@ChiefsReporter Reid also said RB Spencer Ware had a good week of practice with no "repercussions" of the concussion.

Agree it will be hard but disagree that he can't run on Carolina. Most of the FF world hasn't caught up yet but Ware is a top 5 RB talent in one of the best RB situations in the NFL. He's good enough to run on anybody. I downgrade him just like I downgrade DJ or Bell when they play a good run defense. It's probably not going to be a big day on the ground but they still have a shot because they are just that much better at running the football.

May bench him for Gurley who's killed me...
Anything is possible but given everything we've seen from Gurley so far this year, and the fact that he is now coming off an injury, I don't see how you can do this. Gurley and Ware literally sit on the complete opposite of the RB efficiency/effectiveness spectrum.

Yeah I'm not. Gurley is my bench both leagues I have him. One for Ware and one for Montgomery.

LOL @ running West in between the tackles on 2nd down when you have Ware standing on the side line. I mean sometimes I question if coaches have any idea what they are doing at all. There is such a huge difference in efficiency between the two in that situation it's almost like Reid doesn't know the difference but he's the head coach so he has to know right? LOL
