Spikes as WLB for the Eagles (1 Viewer)

TKO is a couple years removed from being a top 10 LB. If fully recovered he could return to that level in Philly's blitz heavy defense.

In my opinion, there is no way that Takeo Spikes will return to form. He doesn't have the speed to do that. Plus he is a huge injury risk. I am avoiding him like the plague this year and have someone else try to nab him as their LB2 or 3. Not me though.

He had ONE injury that kept him off the field...how is that a player with an injury risk? He missed ONE game in his first 7 years. He was hurt 2 years ago, and he should be fully recovered, and I don't see any reason he can't be a solid IDP LB.

Then apparently my eyes deceived me while actually watching someone wearing #51 in camp.

He missed time with a hamstring injury last year, although in fairness that could well have been a compensatory injury from subconsciously favoring the rehabbed Achilles tendon. I'm concerned about the leg injuries from the past two years but the reports from camp observers are becoming more reassuring by the day.

sideline-to-sideline, ey?

Nice. I will take a peak at him for my bench. If he doesn't pan out, i'll cut him.

thanks for positive info all.

at least we all know he'll never hurt his neck; it's the size of a truck tire.

With all the "injury" talk and considering the age of Spikes, who would play WLB in philly if spikes went down? would Gaither move over or is it Mccoy? That question is for is he goes down this year.

If i am reading his contract with Philly right in 2008 it is considered an "option year" and 2009 is a F\A.... Who will replace him next year?

Thanks guys...

The next LBs in line are Bradley and McCoy, but no one wants to see McCoy back on the field.Bradley would likely be the WILL with Gocong at SAM and Gaither in the middle. They should have kept Trotter for depth....Torrance Daniels doesn't give me much hope.
