Sports And Life - Empathy (1 Viewer)

It's called mad respect for each other.  Mahomes had to be amazed at seeing what Allen was doing to his defense.  Same with Allen on Mahomes. That was 2 of the best delivering on a pressure packed stage in an all out war.  One for the ages and they knew it.  This is a rivalry that we'll see for the next 10 years.  And Allen will win his share.

Tremendous sportsmanship and class on full display. Two giants at their craft and mad mutual respect. Great to see that. That game was easily one of the 3 best I ever saw in my life.

Agreed.  Try to beat their brains out during the game.  Afterwards we're all brothers again.

Mahomes is as impressive off the field as on it.

100% this.  Like I posted in the helmet slapping thread, if you've never played the game before, you don't understand some of the nuances.

One time I was almost kicked out of a game after crushing the QB who was a friend and teammate in high school.  He was talking trash about us in the paper prior to the game.  We're helmet-to-helmet and with a big smile on my face said "Mike, those comments in the paper really hurt man lol".  I helped him up to see a ref about to eject me for unsportsmanlike conduct.  Thankfully my friend came to my defense told the ref we were friends and I didn't say anything remotely bad.

The empathy though, man, this country sure could use a lot more of it  It used to be if there was some disaster in another country, particularly underdeveloped nations, regular citizens were they to support them with money, food, whatever.  Now too many times it seems like it's every person for themselves and includes our countrymen.

Indeed. There are a ton of negative stories regarding the way his family treats people...hope it doesn't rub off on Patrick.

This crazy. :(

*** Monday Update *** QB Dak Prescott (DAL) was fined $25,000 by the National Football League for comments that he made in a press conference following the team's Wild Card loss to the San Francisco 49ers, where he condoned fans throwing objects at officials.
